FRAUD

Had option of getting a multiple magazine subscription for $16.64 a month. First month I was to be charged $49.90 and not charged again for three months. The magazines were to be delivered within six weeks then I would have ample time to review them. If i wanted I could cancel the subscription before the three months were up. I have not received any magazines and my account has been charged three times at 49.90 each within a six week period. I called them to have them refund my money and cancel the subscription stating this is not what I agreed to. The woman on the phone ( 888-906-0162 ) said Your magazines are in the mail. I said I am not going to pay for this. I don't want the magazines ( which were not received in six weeks ) and you've already taken almost $150.00 out of my account. That was not the agreement!!!. She raised her voice at me and said let me explain something to you !!! I said no Lady let me tell you what you are going to do, " You are going to refund my money and keep your magazines!! I said this is a RIPOFF !!!! She said I am not going to refund your money and you wont be getting any magazines!! she said Don't tell me how to do my job !! Then she hung up the phone. I called back four times before I got an answer. A man answered. I asked to speak to a supervisor. He stated he was a supervisor. I said I'd like to make a complaint and get a refund for magazines i have not gotten. ODDLY he said OH you must be the one Amy was arguing with that she hung up on. Then he hung up on me. I waited a few minutes and called back from a different number. I asked politely for their address ALL AMERICAN READERS P.O. BOX 26762 ST. LOUIS MN 55426.
I doubt I will ever get my money back. As of this date they owe me $149.70 to be exact. I have put a stop payment through my bank.

Subscription cancelled

Today I called to find out why they charged me 39.90 twice and they informed me that it was for a renewal. I one didn’t renew anything. So I said I want to cancel my subscription and they told me they couldn’t cancel it. So I’m pretty much getting charged for something I don’t want anymore. On top of that they can’t even give me account services number only the fax number. I’m behind heated and would like to know what I can do

Restricted Gift Card

Greetings.

I was offered a gift card that would work in any store.
Today I get a link that gives me access to a gift card only valid in 8 specific online stores which have nothing I am interested in.

The only reason I accepted the offer was to get a REAL $250 gift card, which I do not have.
If I don't receive a real gift card that I can use wherever I want to, All American Readers will have to cancel my account and refund my money. The entire point of a gift card is for the customer to have the liberty of using it wherever they want to.

In one of the last conversations I had with All American Readers I asked if I can use the gift card anywhere online and they said YES

Refused to Cancel my Account

I originally signed up to receive magazines after I was told that I was receiving about $200 in gift cards. I was told I had 20 days to review/change/cancel my account. After looking out for my packet to review in the mail for over two weeks, I realized that my 20 days was almost up. I called customer service and received the phone run around. Finally, I was placed on the phone with a supervisor, who refused to cancel my account due to it being past the 14 day trial period. She then told me that the one who originally set up my account was the only one who could make changes. And told me have a good night and hung up. I called back and they would not take my call. I left a message stating that I would be reporting them due to the way that I was treated. And I will be speaking to my bank about this. They better not take another dime!

deducting payment after cancelation

Had the option of getting a subscription for a $2 fee, was told the subscription was paid for. Then $49.90 was deducted from my Visa card. Called and canceled magazine. Didn't get my money back. Then on February 3rd I was charged another $49.90. I called and told them that the subscription was canceled and was informed that they have no record of such call and that the account was still active even though I have as yet to receive a magazine if my account is still active. So as of today's date, they owe me a total of $99.80.
