It's a scam!!

I've gotten two letters from these people this past week and they asked that I send a $12.00 fee along with a form that they sent me. Any time it's a legitimate sweepstakes, they don't ask you for money. What a scam, wonder how many people fall for this.

American Sweepstakes Publishers

Address: P.O. Box 12954, Kansas City, KS 66112-2954

This is a scam or deceitful company that sends out deceitful letters. Here's one letter they mailed out to my address:

URGENT: CASH PRIZE DATA DOCUMENTATION... **CONFIRMED AND VALIDATED** OVER $1,000,000.00 NOW AVAILABLE!
APPROVAL: (signature of someone)
ATTENTION: (Your name here), if you do not respond in a timely manner, you are in DANGER of LOSING out on these sweepstakes totaling over **$1,000,000.00**. This may be your ONLY NOTICE.

* end of quote

OK. First let me point out that where's the danger of losing something that has been ACTUALLY verified (or confirmed) that your the winner of a sweepstakes. Second point, the letter requests that I reply and mail back the form included in the letter (by detaching it) in 5 DAYS. Third point, they are asking that you send them $12.00 for a processing fee. First I'd like everyone to know that I complied with the demands TWICE and sent them $24.00 only to discover that I was being scammed. A majority of sweepstakes allow up 30 to 180 days to claim a prize you have won. They don't have this RUSH, rush, rush, mail in claim form TODAY sentences in their letters. Look at the California lottery for examples. Third, they spammed my mailbox with letters that all said send in $12.00 for processing.

Stay away from these guys, Do NOT send them any money.

If it acts like a fraud, looks like a fraud and quacks like a fraud by golly it is a Fraud. The audacity of the knucklehead or knuckleheads who send this during the holidays is horrific and just plain stupid. I wrote on their envelope that included zero money they must be stupid, stupid, stupid to send this to me or anyone for that matter. Well I was correct of their stupidity because you guessed it i was sent another identical letter begging for money. Get a job useless.

American Sweepstakes Publishers

Scam! Signed Michael Washington. Knew this was a scam because I have gotten quite a few of these recently. They request a one time processing fee of $12 for my over $1,000,000.00 in cash and prize opportunities. Very official looking with lots of form numbers and statement information, I.D tracking , official stamps etc. Another attempt to steal from people. Sad.

American Sweepstakes Publishers

They sent me the same thing. Stating that I won 2 million. Said that it was for a pendant and that no purchase was needed. Then asked for 9 dollars in the next round. Sent that in with no monies and now they are saying that I won that I have to send them another 13 dollars to process. When you win from anyone else they never ask for a processing fee. and they letter states its for the Premium offer What a bunch of crap. Like everyone else I'm put them in the trash. Hey guys lets make sure that everyone who gets these letters write a statement and maybe the BBB will take action. I'm going there next. Oh and someone asked about their phone number. There is an 800 number that gives list of winners. and 913-338-0715
