I graduated from Ashford University in October 2012 and received my beautiful Bachelor's in Early Childhood plaque that allows me to do absolutely nothing with!!!! I was told by a gentleman by the name of David that I would receive my degree in as little as 2 years in Early Childhood and be able to teach, WOW was I misinformed. So after receiving my degree in the mail I was told that I needed to locate a local school in my area and complete my student teaching. After calling several schools such as, Ohio Christian University, Ashland University, Ohio State University and Ohio Dominican University I was told that what was supposed to be an "accredited program" was not recognized by the other colleges as such. The majority of my classes from Ashford would not transfer over to any of the colleges that I contacted and I would have to take several other classes before I could begin any student teaching. I have not been able to pay on my student loans because I am not making the money that I thought I would be as a teacher because I cannot obtain a license until I take several other classes on top of the classes that I took at Ashford because they would not transfer. Can you please point me in the right direction to get settled? Thank you so much for your time.
