Uverse equipment returns

Door to door salesman quotes me great price. Promises iPad app for uverse. blah blah. Install staff was very nice and cleaned up after themself. Quality of picture was terrible. Had to reboot box everytime I wanted to watch TV. No iPad app. I called and canceled after ten days. Went back to cable. Sent boxes back within two weeks. Got letters for five months. Called everytime to confirm that I didn't owe anything. Phone reps confirmed each time that I was clear and that the "system needed time to catch up". Absolute garabage because today I got a letter from a collection agency. AT&T will never get my business again because of this gaff.

Service

AT&T service is so so bad. Cell phone service and U-verse. They offer me a 30 days trial on home cable and internet. Internet speed is way too slow even at their highest speed. Cable is fuzzy. I call to cancel my trial 2 weeks after the trial and they told me I have 10 days to return the equipments. I return the equipments 4 days later and call back to confirm that my account is cancelled.
And guess what, nothing was done. They keep transfer me to different department to just cancel my account. AT&T tactic is to get their box set up in all the homes, and screw anyone that don't follow up on their cancellation. They make it so hard to cancel the service. I should have listened to my wife.

Service

I am having trouble with UVerse. I have ATT phone, computer cable and TV and my TV for Chanel 11 (Houston) cuts off and stays off half the time. I called in for service and a rude young man started telling me what to do to repair the service myself and I am an old woman, all kinds of health problems and hearing is one. I had to keep asking him what he said to do and he lost patience with me. When I asked him to send someone out who could fix it he told me he would have to charge me for a service call. When I pay the kind of money I pay ATT I do not feel I should have to pay again to get service. My hand controls do not work right half the time and I have been advised to change companies with all my services from ATT. I have been a customer of ATT since 1955 when I got my first phone. I just need help and since I live on a very tight budget, social security, I can not afford extra expenses. I do not wish to change companies but if my TV cable does not get fixed soon, Comcast, Verizon and Infinity here I come.

Uverse equipment returns

I have been trying since august to get this mess cleared up. In august i ordered uverse internet and cancelled dsl, at home my home uverse has no home phone service so i had uverse with regular home phone. i paid 160.00 fees for hookup and first month. In sept i decided i no longer my home phone.. the man cancelled my home phone right there but instead of cancelling my old account he wrote a whole new account. now i am being charged for one account with home phone service as well as the new account without home service. Now i am being threatened with disconnection for refusing to pay the the old account that one of the billing supervisors told me himself would be closed! I have sent several letters, emails, hours and hours on the phone. I was promised by the CSM at their site i would get a call.. NOTHING! I AM NOT PAYING FOR 2BILLS!!! Today i filed a complain with the bbb, last week contacted a lawyer, and local news. Its not a hard concept a child could figure out if you write a customer a new account then close the old one, i am on disability and i have one internet ONE!!! not 2. I want the old account closed now!!! it isnt a hard concept close a customers old account before you open a new one, , i swear the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing in the company they all must ride the short bus.

Uverse equipment returns

Disconnected our U-verse account 0n May 26, AT&T required to send boxes for the return of receivers and gateway but these boxes were not received until late July. The equipment was sent via UPS with tracking number on July 26. Received a bill for missing euipment for a total of $648. Have talked to just about every department at AT&T and they have the record of equipment being received in Laredo however we still have outstanding bill. Don't know what it will take for this correction. Waiting on yet another call back from them telling me what the problem is (August 22).

Uverse equipment returns

Glad to know I'm not the only one out there that this happened to, but sorry for those of you that were unfortunate enough to suffer through this. I signed up for Uverse. They didn't tell me that you can't watch more than 4 tv's at the same time without interruption. I have 4 roommates and 6 tv's in the house. I knew this wouldn't work and cancelled 3 days later when my roommates were ready to kill each other over the tv. I returned the equipment within the first week of cancelling. I took everything to the UPS store and they told me that I didn't need anything other than to drop it off. A month later I received a letter stating the equipment was never returned. I spent hours on the phone with Uverse support being transferred over and over and over again. I finally reached someone that told me the equipment was found and I was relieved. That was only until I received a bill in the mail for $1, 197.55. I have been on the phone numerous times for numerous hours trying to resolve this. I cancelled my account in July and I am still fighting this now in October. I have perfect credit and would hate for this to end up in collections, but I shouldn't have to pay for equipment that I returned! Please stay away from Uverse!!!
