sorry furniture,customer service

Bought an electrically controlled recliner which broke and the store manager said it was not covered under the warranty. It was mechanical lift not the electrically control portion.I was told that the part would cost $100.00 and another 90.-100. to have it replaced.I have been trying since Feb.2018 to get the part that I was told would take appox.3 weeks to get.Today is May 9th and when I stopped at the store to see if I could gets some answers as to what is taking so long,I was told the part had to manufactured and it would take appox.4 more weeks. The store manager hasn't bother to let me know anything, the e mail we looked at today was sent to him in April.I called the Main office and was told that I had to pay for the part first, then she said the stored ordered it anyway and it was being shipped and the store should get it this week. The customer satisfaction through BOTH the store and main office leaves a lot to be desired.Actually it seems to be non-existent.I can see why this company sells things so cheaply, you buy it you got it,no service, repair or support if you have problems. Thanks but no thanks, will have to find another furniture store for any other purchases.

Bedbugs

My husband, Fortino Hernandez and I purchased a mattress and box springs from Badcock in Athens, Tennessee. We made our purchase on March 10, 2017. The amount was just over $1,000.00. We were approved for $1,000.00 and with the down payment we financed $879.59. We were really happy with our experience to begin with. Tim, the manager, and all of the employees have treated us so nice.

Shortly after our purchase, we discovered bugs. Since we are not exterminators by trade, we had no clue what these little critters were. They looked much like new born ticks. It wasn’t until months later, when it got warm weather and we began using the air conditioning, that it seemed that they had overtaken the mattress. We would wake up with bugs crawling everywhere. We started spraying and bombing. Then we finally took the mysterious bug to a professional exterminator who took one look at them and informed us that they were bed bugs. We inquired about their services. Their initial cost for service to begin the extermination process would be $600.00. At this point, I went to Badcock to talk to Tim. He wasn’t there. I went back the next day. Tim said, ‘That he had had problems with tics but not bed bugs.” He said, “He would find out what to do and call us back.” We never heard a word. I went back in the store and he said,’ “we don’t have bed bugs and there is nothing that we can do.” My next step was to call corporate to discuss this matter. I spoke with Sarah who seemed very nice and reported that she would do what she could to help me to get this matter resolved. Approximately two weeks later, Sarah called and spoke to my husband and provided him with a case number. After about two more weeks, Sarah called and said, “We waited too long to complain. We needed to burn our $1,000.00 mattress and buy another one.” What disappointing news after our efforts to rectify this situation. Once during a call to Badcock, I was placed on hold before speaking to a representative. During the hold time, there was a person providing information about Badcock. Included in this message are the following words:
“His personal philosophy is to treat people right. Guaranteed to find quality products.
We will treat you right.”
None of this information, based on my experience, could be further from the truth.

During my wait for a return call from Sarah the first time, I did some research about Badcock and bedbugs. I found several venues with complaints about mattresses being purchased from Badcock and bedbugs to include Consumer Affairs, Complaint Board, and Facebook just to name a few. Since your company is not willing to rectify this situation, I find it necessary to provide my information to these same venues and more.
