Credit Card Cancelled

The Bank associated with the Bealls credit card recently cancelled my credit card . I have been a Beall's customer since the early 1980's and I received my credit card in the early 80's. I have been a good loyal customer with Bealls and have never been late paying my credit card bills. At the time my card was cancelled my credit score was around 825 and I did not owe Bealls any money. I had recently shopped at a Bealls store and when paying for my purchases the sales clerk said if I used my Bealls credit card I would get an additional percentage off of the total bill so I used my card and it was accepted for the payment. A few days later I decided to pay my bill on the Internet through my bank's payment app. A few days later I received a letter from the Bealls credit card company that my Bealls credit card had been cancelled because they needed additional information for my account. This sounded crazy to me since I had been using this card for 33 years or more. I have the same name, address and I am married to the same man that I was in 1985. They never wrote me or called me to get the additional information. When I called Beall's phone line to complain all the man said was I could get an application and re-apply for a new credit card. This was not acceptable to me . I just read where Stage (Bealls parent Co.) may go bankrupped in 2019, following in the footsteps of several large department stores. This certainly does not surprise me in the least. I am sure I am not the only loyal customer who has been treated like this. In this day and age you do not treat your paying customers like this. Needless to say my days of shopping at Bealls has come to an end.

Injury

I have been a loyal bells customer for many years. I am Furious! There was a problem at the store today at approximately 4 PM. The associate number is 002223812. The associate ID is Sybrinna. The store number is 00047 and the managers name is Vicki Ibarra. Transaction number 5859-7.

I purchased some items for my grandson online for school this year. Unfortunately, the shoes were too small. My very sweet and busy daughter ( Who is also a loyal customer) Took me into the store today to return the shoes and replace him with shoes that fit correctly. He tried on several pairs of shoes and finally found a pair that felt comfortable and fit him correctly. Ask he was removing the shoe after trying on each tab separated and the top portion came off exposing the needle which plunged into my seven year old grandson‘s finger! My daughter was very alarmed of course because this is quite a health hazard and it could’ve hurt him much worse than it did. She took the shoes up to the register with both pieces intact and the middle portion still in the top of the shoe. The associate was rather blasé concerning the incident . I might have expected something like this at a discount chain store such as Burkes but not Beall’s Which I have always looked up to and been treated with such respect. My daughter was kind my grandson was upset and the manager was not called. No one asked if he needed the wound clean or a bandage even. I didn’t called the school door a multiple amount of time which I have always looked up to and been treated with such respect. I didn’t called the store multiple times at approximately 4:30 PM. The first time I called it rang for possibly 12 times and then went to a faxline with no answer. The other times I found it rang and rang and rang and rang with no answer whatsoever. I didn’t decided I would go to the website and do the survey to make you aware of this very dangerous thing that happened to my grandson I tried to go online to where it says on the receipt and was never able to reach the www.bells online.com/survey site. After much searching, I located this site for complaints. I am out raged! Never in my life has anything ever happened like this before at any store I have ever shopped at . The fact that my grandson was injured while shopping for shoes and nothing was done regarding his injury makes me irate. I doubt I will ever shop at Beall’s again. In my opinion, at the very least he is wound should’ve been cleaned and a Band-Aid offered and the manager should’ve been made aware of the situation. With all of the diseases in this world now and blood-borne pathogen my grandson has been exposed to a level of danger that I do not feel comfortable with at all! It would have been in your best interest to at the very least not charge for the shoes which were purchased. I also feel an apology should’ve been issued by the store manager and someone should’ve been held accountable for this terrible mistake. I expect to hear from you soon via email. I believe some type of restitution needs to be made and if not, I intend to tell everyone I know who shops there that it’s a hazard to shop at that store. My grandson was so scared when this happened that my daughter is afraid he’ll never want to go shoe shopping again. I have never heard of anything even remotely like this happening to a young child shopping in quality department store. Please know you have lost my respect. I also firmly believe that no matter how busy the store was the manager should have been called to discuss this with my daughter and my grandson. Expecting to hear from you soon, Linda Duncan

the on line survey

I have NEVER been able to reach the www.beallsonline.com/survey - except for the Florida entry. My receipt shows being entered for a $300 gift card (not the $500 on the Florida site). My complaint is NOT being able to find one for my receipt and how frustrating it is.
IF you are not going to make it computer friendly for us to enter - then why waste the paper to print the information.
