Delivery

I purchased a sofa from Bob's Discount Furniture September 11, 2022. The furniture was set for delivery October 20th, between 7am-10am. I was up early and ready for my threshold delivery. I live on a main street and asked the delivery person to deliver to my back door. The delivery person said no. I advised him that I am fine with a threshhold delivery, but it must be to the rear of my residence. I have had a delivery before from Bob's and there was no trouble. I called customer service and was informed that the driver would pull around to the back to make the delivery. The driver left! Yes, the driver left and refused to come back. I called a second time to customer service to voice my dissatisfaction. A received a call back and was advised again that the driver refused to make my delivery. I accepted that information and promptly cancelled my sofa order and requested a full refund. Business lost!

Goof Proof

I bought a sofa from Bob's back in August 2019. I noticed a few weeks later that there was a hole under the cushion and that the black netting was pulling off one of the cushions, the cushions are going flat. I only had to couch a few months and the cushions are flat. How is that normal wear and tear? It is called CRAPPY foam! Bob's sent a useless service tech to my house. I spoke with a customer service rep from Bob's stating it was not covered under mfg warranty, but would be covered under the Goof Proof that I purchased. It clearly states on the Goof Proof Protection Plan that accidental rips are covered. Guess What??? Bob's denied my claim.
Please go on facebook at look at all the posts "I hate Bob's". I contacted the BBB and will continue to contact the BBB. I am now going to Consumer Affairs and my next step will be small claims court. I will post on "I hate Bob's" the date of small claims court case and make sure that other people join me at court.

Theft, unfprofessional

expecting Bob;s deliver of new furniture for bedroom
white unmarked truck appears with 3 men not in any uniform, 1 had a a ripped wife beater and pants that shows crack.
I only knew they were from Bobs because they had my furniture.

They were eating sunflower seeds, still finding them on the floor in my house.

They put dings in most of the furniture being replaced this week.
They manages to steal over 10K in jewelry.... Recourse????

Theft, unfprofessional

A white truck arrived at my home with no markings with 3 delivery people. 1 was hurt so he did not enter my house. They were not wearing any uniform, unless you call torn wife beater shirt and pants that showed crack a uniform. I only knew they were from Bob's because they had my furniture.
They brought bedroom set in (dinging it in many places) while eating sunflower seeds and spitting them on my floors (2 days later still finding them)
in the master bathroom I had a dish with jewelry (door was closed when they arrived, but not after they left) - Jewelry gone. Trying to figure out my course of action.

Dishonest delivery people

I had purchased a sofa from Bobs furniture in Nanuet New York with the protection plan , when I needed it fixed the item was discontinued. I was told to come in and choose a replacement sofa which I did. It took months to come and when it finally did , Bobs delivery people took my old sofa and gave me the new one. However, they made a false report that I told them I threw out the old sofa and that they never took a sofa from my home. That is a complete lie. Bobs never informed me of this and instead issued me 100 dollar gift card for taking so long to get my sofa to me. Eight months later when I attempted to use the gift card , I was told I was “ not in good standings with the company” because I never returned my old sofa. They “looked into it” and decided to take my 100 credit away. I got punished for them hiring dishonest people and allowing them into my home with my children. It was an even exchange and I would have no reason to have thrown out the sofa, Then to be accused of a crime basically is unacceptable to me. There is a certain amount of trust as a consumer that you put into companies, especially when they will be entering your home. You expect that there has been a background check and they are not criminals. Disgusting... I was told there was a “report “ saying I stated I threw the merchandise out. That is ridiculous and I never said that because that’s not what happened. I am not interested in getting my bogus store credit back, I want people to be weary of who they allow in their home and don’t assume that the company has done their due diligence in checking out who they hire.

Technician inability to take care of problem

In 2012, I purchased a bedroom set from Bob's. Approx 4 weeks ago, the light went out above the mirror. Upon checking, the light is recessed and screwed into the top of the mirror. I called Bob for instruction how to remove light and was told a service technician would come to replace the bulb for me. After 2 appointments that the technician was not able to keep his appointed time, I had someone stay at my home so this could finally be resolved. When the tech came today, he removed the old light bulb, left on my dresser and said he doesn't have a bulb but I could go to Home Depot to buy one and replace myself.

The lack of professionalism as well as wasting not only my time but my landlords is despicable. Calling customer service with complaints demonstrated a "care-less" attitude. When transferred to "upper management", I was on hold for over 30 minutes until I was so furious, I hung up. Absolutely disgusting that this is how they run there business.

Defective furniture

Have been trying for two days to get a hold of the goof proof protection plan. the furniture is nine months old, and is totally falling apart. They do not answer the phone. You leave message they don't return the call. I have advise two of my friends NOT to go to bobs for anything. I have also written some reviews ... Finally on the second set of items I brought I had to go find the delivery truck myself cause they couldn't find the address.

incompetent service & defective merchandise

Total Horrible experience dealing with Bob's. Purchased Entertainment Wall Unit from Bob's for $1, 299. Installation upon delivery was incomplete and had a few defects in the tv console and glass front cabinet and missing pieces for shelving. Bob's "state of the art" delivery system is NOT only NOT state of the art, it is "state of incompetence". Service technicians showing up at times other than the 2 hrs window, at 8pm, 2hrs before scheduled delivery etc. The glass cabinet could not be repaired and had to be replaced 2 times (in addition to the original delivery) because of defects in the cabinet. There is NO Quality control at the manufacturing OR their warehouses. It took 6 wks from initial delivery (and 5 days off from work) until the final resolution. After a 5 page complaint letter directly to Bob himself, I was offered only a return of my $129 delivery fee and a $100 Bob's gift card (which I would never go to again, so it is essentially. worthless. Would never recommend this company.

incompetent service & defective merchandise

I too purchased a wall unit. I wanted it quickly so took a day off from work to wait for it. The delivery guy came to my apartment and told me that the TV console of the wall unit got damaged during transit so I had to refuse delivery! When I called I told them now I need a Saturday delivery because I am not taking another day off from work. Now I have to wait over 2 weeks! I was so disappointed yesterday.

Waiting forever for my couch

They pride themselves on customer service, been waiting over 7 weeks for my furniture, they finally have it in stock and now i must wait 2 more weeks for them to deliver the couch, i paid in full for the couch. they just keep telling me, NO we have nothing. no sorry, no, no, no. like WTF... i dont even want the piece of shit anyway... they are rude, and have really no sense of time . it takes 7 weeks for a couch to be delievered /??????????????? WOW... DO NOT BUY FROM THEM !!!
