Delivery

I purchased a Queen size adjustable bed a wooden bed frame with drawers on 1/6/19 which totaled $2800. I was promised delivery on 1/8/19- mind you I threw my old bed out on garbage day the same day. Upon delivery we were advised the wrong adjustable base was sent and the furniture could not be assembled. I call the store and spoke to the sales person who stated the order would be fixed. 1 went to the store the same day to confirm the purchase and was setup for delivery on 1/10/19. On 1/10/19 they arrived for delivery , and once all the boxes were brought into my empty bedroom, they discovered the foot board was missing. I called at 11:30am and spoke with a representative and advised her of what happened. The representative assured me they would move the delivery date up and credit me with a $50 Bob's gift card. I called back at 4:20pm and was advised by the representative Carla, that there was no scheduled delivery setup for 1/11/19 and that the rep stated in her notes- I excepted the bed as is for the $50 credit. Needless to say she was not honest at all- who would except $50 credit for a bed they cannot use.

I am appalled, as I have had to sleep on the floor for the last 2 days. I can't wait to see what happens on Saturday, when they come to do the install this time. I am a dissatisfied customer and will never shop at Bob's discount furniture ever again, it seems like "discount" means headaches. I will stick with Macy's for my future purchases.

bait and switch

The wife wanted a new bed frame, and had to have a sleigh bed, looked around and found one in bob's e-pit, she liked it, I liked it, and the price was right. ( how often does that happen ? ) it was a $299 bed in the e-pit for $199. ordered it on 01/04/12 and got banged for $60 for shipping and then tax so now i'm at $ 281 but they are coming from CT and putting it together . I get a call a few hrs later going over everything, e-pit policy oops policy and we get a delivery date of sat 01/14/12. I call up on wed morning 01/11/12 to add on the oops bs thing for another $43 just to play it safe. I get a call on 01/12/12 that my headboard is damaged and they can't deliver so they want my credit card info to give me a refund. Thank God ! ! bob's preaches how they don't bait and switch and put in hidden fees ! ! Or I would have thought this was a bait and switch scam. When I purchased the frame according to the B/S counter in the corner there were 11 and wouldn't you know, mine was the one that was damaged, so cause some gorilla in the warehouse allegedly damaged my head board, I have no bed, or I can get a full price one for $ 100 more. so $281+$43=$324 then another $100 for the regular full price sleigh bed frame $424 ! ! ! I must say, they were very friendly on the phone and very apologetic, but I would be too if I was trying to more then double the advertised price of a product . I understand the e-pit policy, "when they are gone they're gone", But if it's damaged don't advertise it, cause then it's nothing more then a bait and switch.

quality

bought furniture from this place because they advertise that it is so cheap but the fact is the furntiure is made so poorly that after just one year and coincidently right after the warranty ran out the bottm of the drawers on the dresser were falling out and the rail of the bed split. they wouldnt help at all because it was just over a year. i have no use for this funiture if i cant put my clothes away or use my bed. it was a cheap set so i got rid of it and bought a real bedroom set at rooms unlimited furniture in medford. the price was slightly higher but they gave a good discount and delivered and set up everything wtihin the week. at least now i can sleep and put my clothes away. stay away from bobs. cheapest garbage everrrrrrr!!!

They did not lie. They said it was cheap, they just left out the fact that they were talking about the quality. You often get what you pay for.

Customer Service

Bobs Discount Furniture advertises that "We care about your complete satisfaction". I purchased a wardrobe closet and waited for delivery. Unfortunately the furniture was damaged upon delivery. I was told I had to set up another date for delivery. I explained to the rep that I had took time off from work to accept delivery and it would be difficult for me to take off again. I asked for the delivery charge to be refunded since this would be appropriate and the rep explained that if There were any other concerns with the furniture I would be stuck with it. I asked to speak to a supervisor and basically she agreed with the rep. I then asked for a refund. So much for the Bobs Discount Furniture slogan "We care about your complete satisfaction".

Delayed delievry

I bought a bedroom set and had to wait 1 month because every piece is in stock except the mirror? U would think they would have as much mirrors as dressers but fine. I specify my condo only allows furniture deliveries during business hours mon-fri and their "state of the art" delivery system schedules me for a Saturday at 8am. I called to tell them it has to be mon-fri so the agent cancels my delivery. Whe she cancels delivery, the furniture set that was held in my name went back into inventory and got assigned to the next buyer waiting for the same set. Now I'm told I won't get delivery for another month! Fucking unbelievable these stupid assholes and their shit delivery system. Bob and all his idiots should be shot. My GF works for a tv station and we will be sending camera crew to the store I made my purchase and make these a-holes look stupid on tv.
