I graduated in 2009 from the practical nursing program. I am embarrassed to admit that I attended a school with such a poor reputation. Looking back, I regret attending Brown Mackie College. As a student I was taught the bare minimum to become a nurse. Clinicals were not hands on and I learned absolutley nothing. Every month I was hassled into paying cash or taking out more unnessasary loans or I would not pass to the next class. Tuition prices were raised in the middle of the year which I thought was unethical but had no choice but to stay a student at the school as my credits would not transfer anywhere else. I think Brown Mackie College takes advantage of low income students and poor single mothers. Now I owe alot of money on my student loans and do not understand why. I had the full pell grant scholorship, a higher education award and paid cash. I think Brown Mackie is a big rip off scam to the poor and should be put out of business. I am looking into joining a class action lawsuit at this time.

I Miss Wendy j Morris attended Brown Mackie in St. Louis, Mo year of 2010 and then transferred to Brown Mackie in Merriville, Indiana,
and they both told the same lies that they was accredited and had tutors to assist you with your studies, plus instructors who either never taught a course, or just did not no what they were doing at all.
