Capital One PROBLEMS

Deceptive Customer Service

Dear Mr. Fairbank,

As a realtor and a very good one, I see people daily with problems and kind of figured they were just needing to pay their bills. Now it has happened to me with your card. I called to tell your agents that at 2500.00 we wanted the care shut down because we thought someone was using it. The charges were doubling and tripling and it wasn't me using it. They said, do you live in ;lkjs;ldj;l, I said, no but I work there. They left the card open only to allow it to move quickly upward to 10,000 and now late fees almost 10700. This is not my debt and I do pay my bills. l have never had below a 760 credit score and now you have ruined my credit by this one credit card in just a few months.

I would be happy to pay the portion that is my debt which is a school lunch program because we didn't know it was connected, but our kids, and the 2500.00 we did use the card for. We have tried to contact people over and over and tomorrow you will be served our legal papers to sue Capital One. We do not like doing this and as an agent I'm disgusted that there is no negotiation when you are wrong. Your own employee, I have his name, said, "oh my gosh, I do see where you asked to have the card shut down". When I asked for a response, no one called me back and the card continued on and on. I will not only have filing for this card and the stress, but also what it has put our family through. We did not do anything to deserve this period.

So, if you want to reach me, please feel free, but this is not the way I conduct business and I do care about my personal reputation.

You may call me yourself, not your agents or representation at 8104495574 cell. Your company refused to speak to me and send the recording of the phone conversation and I requested it, so I have written a letter to a federal judge asking for help.

Thank you,

Tracy Allis

$1040.00 mistake

on 2/23 a check cleared our account. The amount of the check was supposed to be $100.00, but Capital One posted it for $1000.00 then charged us $140.00 in bank charges. I contacted them about the matter and they sent their apologies for the mistake, and stated I would need to fill our a dispute form. They also told me it would take 3-5 business days to receive my money they took.
After having a screaming fit with them on the phone, they returned the $900.00 but not the $140.00 due from bank charges I received from their $900.00 mistake.
I opened a new account with a different bank, and as soon as I receive the $140.00 they owe me, I will be closing this account.
