excessive charges

My complaint references the excessive charges for services never rendered, equipment changes when the equipment you have works fine but the forced a change of equipment and forced a lock in on the contract that had been paid off for years but the delivery stop your service lie that there will not be any other change to update equipment so the tv works again the received a statement in the mail for service charges, 400.00 for new equipment and a new 2-year agreement that you did not sign.

Billing Fraud

CenturyLink created a fake account with a fake name for my 82 year old mother who lives in Albuquerque NM

After she informed them of their "mistake" via customer service over the telephone they agreed to delete the account and would delete the charges associated with its creation. However, they continue to bill her for the "service" of creating the fraudulent account IN ADDITION to the correct services provided by her legitimate account. They also continue to bill her for late fees for not paying for the fraudulent account and the services not provided. They have claimed on several occassions that they will delete the charges on the fake account but never actually do so.

These pigs belong in prison!

No phone for 7 days

Yes we have a mental retarded brother with health issues insulin and so on we haven't had a phone for 7 days called repair they said we will be out the 5 the no show set another day the 8th no show now they set it to the 15 the this will make us without phone 15 days I think something needs to be done now we don't need to wait until the 15 the we need phone servi CE now 423-477-8338 call me 423-737-4892 please

Misrepresentation and bad service

Would love to tell my stories of the lies CenturyLink has told when I complained to the FCC about their broadband. In ten years as a customer since they acquired my previous company they have been the worst company I've ever been forced to work with. I have no other choice due to my location. Delighted to see there is a class action suit being filed.

Gross Overbilling

After being reassured multiple times that my monthly bill would not exceed $83 plus taxes (tax rates were oblivious to the agent!!!). I reluctantly signed with centurylink on November 11th 2016. December 23rd 2016 my online bill was $289.75 while my paper bill for the same cycle was $499.75!!!! After speaking and chatting with 3 different reps, none of them could answer why there were discrepancies in:
-2 (two) different bill amounts ($289 and $499)
-bill should be $83 + taxes
This doesn't reflect the $70 in discounts that I was to receive for two failed attempts to install the service. I lost 2 days of work due to their oversight. The unanimous responses were:
-"read the itemized bill"
-"the first bill is always inflated"
-"the bill is prorated"
The responses did not answer why my bill was NOT $83 + taxes. As for the dual billing ($289 and $499) they were all clueless. There is something very truly and flagrantly foul with their lack of corporate responsibility, product knowledge and rational explanation. Regardless their math and justifications are absurd. What to do?????? BBB??? I believe this definitely should be addressed as they are not ethical with their billing and aversive with their answers to simple math in billing (i.e. $83 for one month does not equal $499 and or $289). Taxes????

theft

I took the special of 19.95 a month for internet service which came with a one time startup of 34.99. They took 98.00$ out of my bank account for the first month an I just got a bill for 68.00 for one month service. I consider this theft . I am sorry I ever made that call for service what kind of company is this?
