Disputed charge
I made a hotel reservation before noon and cancelled the reservation before 7PM the same day. I received a cancellation number from the hotel but the "third party" reservation company has a system that will not allow customers to reach a customer service rep or enter a cancellation notice.
I contacted Chase to dispute the charge since the reservation was cancelled and their response was totally unbelieveable! Since I had been told the policy in advance which was ""the cancellation had to be made 24 hours before scheduled arrival". How can one cancel 24 hours before arrival since the arrival is on the same day as the reservation was made?
"Chase was adamant that the charge was indisputable and refused to let me speak to a supervisor. I was told that I would receive a letter stating that no dispute can be made to this "valid" chage.
I have two cards with Chase and usually run combined balances over $4000 per month. NO MORE. My business with Chase has been concluded with this transaction.
