We had a fire causing about 250K in damages. Getting money from the insurance company was no problem but getting money from citi was very difficult. We had to call repeatedly to get funds. Not once did citi ever call us. We are over 90 percent complete and citi is still holding on to 100K. Our contractors and my wife and I have spent money out of our pockets in hope we will get reimbursed. Everything takes a minimum of 7 to 10 business days. They don't care you are just a number. If I had money I would sue this horrible company. If you can switch from this company try to do so.

PLEASE NEVER USE CITIMORTGAGE! I have genuinely never dealt with a more dishonest company in my entire life! It has taken over a year, but we finally received the last of the funds from our property insurance provider for major hail damage at our house in 2016. Because the final funding was so delayed, we went ahead and had all of the repairs done out of our own pocket so that the final processing would be "easy". Absolutely every repair that was made was in accordance to the payout from our insurance provider.

So getting the claim check endorsed by our mortgage company should have been a piece of cake, right? Not with Citimortgage!!! We have sent them every document, receipt, and form they have requested - many times over. Representatives including Brad and Chris continue to lie to us about everything. There are never-ending excuses such as: We never received the forms you faxed, we never received the documents you uploaded, you needed to submit a different form than the one you provided, and on and on. Chris now completely dodges my calls. Brad continues to make things up even when I point out in the same conversations that he is contradicting himself. It is absolutely unbelievable! They have nearly $35,000 that belongs 100% to my wife and me but will not release it despite the fact we have provided every single item they have requested. I have faxed them the lien release on at least 10 occasions from three different fax machines to two different fax numbers they have provided.... and both men will tell me "I don't show that we have received that yet". This company is completely out of control. I am meeting with an attorney on Monday to file a lawsuit since I believe that is the only language that Citimortgage speaks.

I had water damages to my home causing part of my kitchen ceiling to collapse. Insurance company adjuster came out did his assessment within a couple of days and check was sent to us the following week. Repairs had already begun considering the amount of water there was. Once we got the check we endorsed it and sent it to CITIMORTGAGE PROPERTY DAMAGES (866-844-2198 Lynn Withers) DEPT., for endorsement and return. We sent Citimortgage all the required documents which was quite a bit and expected to get the check back ASAP considering we stressed the repair process had begun. CITIMORTGAGE PROPERTY DAMAGES DEPT. refuses to send the entire $8404 back and insists on breaking it down. None of the contractors are willing to wait to be paid and have stopped all work and rightly so, they deserve to be paid at the end of the job. Please helps us in dealing with this giant company that has no regard for the little people that have to suffer while they make money off the interest gained from depositing and holding the money intended for my home to be repaired. i have called several times and hear the same scripted response:
"It Takes 3-5 business days to process an exception to have all funds released"!
