Shoes disintergrating

My wife and I have had three pairs of Clark shoes disintegrate at the soles; two pairs of female shoes; one pair of male shoes. Has never happened to us with other shoe brands and never outside of Florida. Don't believe that heat was a factor, since one pair was never outside the air conditioned house.
