Dear Sir or Ma’am,
I fell in love with my Clarks from the first day that I bought them. My initial pair of Clarks were not only cute, but also very comfortable to walk in. Since then I have bought over ten pairs of Clarks. In my humble opinion, the QVC shopping network leads the public to believe that the Clarks Company produced good quality footwear. For that reason, I became a loyal consumer and bought several pairs in quite a few different styles and colors.
However, on two occasions, once at a restaurant and again while at a job interview, the side stitching completely separated from the soles of the shoes. The first pair to come apart I threw them away because they were five years old, however most recently two more of my Clarks have also separated at the seams.
I have always supported the “made in America” argument, even though Clark’s shoes are not terribly inexpensive. However, an average cost of $102.00 a pair, I was dismayed at the rapid deterioration of the shoes, which made them “un-repairable.” I feel that as a loyal Clark’s consumer, I should be fully compensated for the defectiveness of this product or at least given and exchange. Due to the poor quality of this merchandise, I was embarrassed when they fell apart while on a job interview.

Sincerely,
Barbara Conner Cooper
