Poor customer support

Hello Everyone





I have only had Comcast for about 30 days. To be fair there service isn't entirely bad. If everything works technically then you are golden. The moment you have to call them for anything then that is when the trouble begins. There technical support personnel are completely unaware of how to do anything. I almost feel sorry for them. To illustrate I will use an analogy. If you go to a car mechanic and you tell him you need something simple like an oil change and you notice that he proceeds to look in the trunk for the engine. You then try to explain to this guy that this is not where the engine so then he looks in the back seat. A guy like that is probably more qualified than these people. Wow I actually felt really bad for these people. It is obvious they are reading from a script on a computer screen. From what I have experienced and from reading the thousands of other complaints this is how Comcast does business. In addition if you need to discuss your bill expect a rude operator. If you don't get one then you are blessed. They come across something like this. Hello this is Wayne and I have to help you. What do you want to annoy me with today. They will threaten to turn off your service and are extremely condescending. If you want to file a complaint guess what nobody cares. Its the classic talk to the hand scenario. There is no where to complain and God help you if you get service representative 783. If she is having a bad day then so will you. The service is good when it works. But the technical support and customer service I would have to rate with negative numbers. I really feel this is truly fair and objective feedback. If anyone from Comcast reads this please understand that you have staffing problems that will put you out of business. You need to completely re staff or train the current technical support team and service representative team. Other than that your service is great.
