Too Many Carts!!!

I have enough and being cut off from CSX Train.. They cut off atleast 6 railroad crossing in Brandon area, Florida. I have been in time for work and drove out of my house and traffic always build up and no way of getting over to route 60 to get on the I-75 and I-4. I managed to drive another route to Plant City. Unfortunately, I am second car away from railroad crossing on Alexander Street and I realized that train is moving at 20 mph. Meanwhile waiting at RRXing, I count the carts. I counted 183 carts/containers. Come On!!! I last time I counted was 194 carts. I am fed up with CSX that must need to reduce the number of carts to avoid the traffic build up. One time Fire Truck and ambulance are on the way and got trapped in the traffic and for not getting to cross the railroad track. This must put in stop and cut down the number of carts. I heard that to reduced to 60 carts allow, but not more than 80 carts. They (CSX) are cursed and breaking the law!!! Hell With CXS!!!

Trains Blocking Tracks

Every day CSX runs trains through Baldwin during commuting times, usually blocking the tracks across 301. This morning the train stopped traffic at around 8:00 AM and we sat idle until 8:42 AM. Traffic is backed up for miles when this happens, and CSX does nothing about it. This problem was even featured on the news, and they had camera crews in Baldwin filming trains blocking traffic. All CSX does is make excuses and then continue to do what they want. Maybe they should have to pay hefty fines, like 10K, every time they inconvenience people. I was 45 minutes late for work this morning. Thanks CSX!!

Unbearable screeching noise

I live in acworth. The train never bothered me until recently. For example, I have had three trains go past in the last 13 minutes. There is a terrible screeching/humming that has started lately and it is causing me and my family to lose sleep and anxiety. It hurts my ears so I can't imagine how my dogs are handling it. They refuse to go outside when a train is passing. Mind you the train track is about a mile away from my house, maybe more. This is inconsiderate and unacceptable.

Train Idling for several hours

For the last three weeks the train idling situation has gone way out of hand here in the Bogota/Teaneck area. It seems like every night the train is idling for more than two hours at a time. One night it idled for six consecutive hours. Is this allowed? How is this even legal. I can't idle my car for more tha. 15 minutes but a train can idle for SIX hours?!! Something needs to be done already!

Trains stopped on the tracks in back of my house

CSX has had trains stopped and ideling day and night for seven days since Aug 6 to today Aug 14, 2017. We cannot sleep, the anxiety for the noise is extreme. Why can't they shut down the trains if they leave them sit there. In my home, it seems like the train is sitting right next to it. My home even shakes from the vibration. Complaining to the company has done nothing

CSX chronically blocked crossing

No one at CSX will respond. 1478883L gets blocked daily for up to three hours! Phone calls, emails and letters all ignored. Once they told a woman with heart issues to go under the train for medical help. They couldn't care less for our safety or lives. People late for work regularly. My husband leaves 45 minutes early because he can't afford to be 3 hours late.

Trains blocking IMPORTANT Roadways and Intersections

Every day CSX trains block important intersections and roadways here in Waycross, not for 5 or 10 minutes, but sometimes for more than 2 hours!!! CSX has literally parked trains across the Ozzie Davis Highway for hours either waiting to enter or exit the Rice Yard. When we call their "Dispatchers" we get informed that they can do what they want and when they want because they have the "Right of Way", and that we, the locals, will have to get used to it. I am a retired Firefighter/EMT and can tell you sometimes minutes count, and having to divert to a much longer route from A to B can and will cause someone to die. Instead of cutting crews and tripling the number of locomotives needed to power those 3 and 5 mile long trains, maybe you should be BETTER UTILIZING the manpower that you have decided is in excess!!! From all the articles I've read about your cutbacks, it's all about the bottom line, your profit margin!! Your profits are NOT worth the cost of human lives that you are endangering with your greed!!!!!!!

CXS Rude Conductors - Wakes Elderly & Kids at 3 am

I live 2000 ft from rail tracks in the city limits of Smyrna GA 30080. It is a no blow zone. But how many of you know that this means it is fun and games times for the conductors. I've gotten over the 2, 3, 4 and 5 am long horn burst in the night (ear plugs). God forbid that we should want to sleep, make money and pay taxes, lol. Of course they care not that no one is even at the crossings, the start blowing the horn 5000 ft away. I mean solid blaring of horn.

My neighbors on the other side of the tracks are a small group of single mothers and 12 elderly people. Guest these kids won't have a future since 3 of the nut job conductors think it is funny to blow the horn and wake them each night, especially school nights.
I mean really where can the elderly go on a fixed income or a single parent with 2 or 3 kids?

I call this BLANTANT hostility a horrbile way to live. FIGHT THE BULLIES!!!!

I'm making recording for my neighbors with engine numbers and times of night so they may take it further than the city counsel. I'm going to help them as much as possible!!!!

Teaneck CSX Idling

This company is completely offensive and unwilling to work with communities. They're a pariah company - their trains idle for hours causing tremendous vibration even MILES away - one's head hurts from the vibration. They ought to be put out of business.

Trains running during morning rush hour

There are 2 sets of train tracks on 50th St. in Tampa, FL....It is ridiculous to have them running during morning rush hour 7:15am through 8:30am. 50th St. is completely blocked and traffic from I-4 is exiting on to 50th St. which causes major traffic nightmare. I live approximately 6 miles from work, and when the train is running it takes me over 45 minutes to get to the entrance of the Tampa Distribution Center where I work. Someone at CSX needs to rethink this morning nightmare!!!

Noise level of horns

I just moved into a home close to the tracks. I expected some noise however, having a horn blaring every hour from 11 pm to 5am is crazy and frustrating. The issue is also that the drivers blow the horn repeatedly for 5-10 seconds each time.

Inappropriate Train Horn Warnings

Trains on the CSX track at Main Street, Granville GA inappropriately sound their horn right before and even AFTER they have passed.

Some Engineers blow the horn once and others lay on the horn all the way through town. It is inappropriate and not necessary. All roads have gate crossings.

Please stop. You're ruining historical towns.

Train horns....CSX

Train horns have gotten out of control. The people in this area worked hard to get the area designated as a "quiet zone". The train engineers ignore the quiet zone and constantly lay on the horn all hours of the day and night. New crossing gates were installed so that this area would qualify for the quiet zone, but it has made no difference. It's bad enough that these trains stop and block not one, not two, but three crossings and create traffic nightmares. The crossings in question are at Chamberlain Lane and LaGrange Rd, Lucas Lane and LaGrange Rd, and Westport Rd at LaGrange Rd in the 40233 area code.

Csx

We live next to the railroad tracks and not to far from the actual railroad crossing for cars. These trains run all hours of the day and night and blow their horns non stop it seems like when they are getting close to the railroad crossing , I mean they blow the horn sometimes 5 times in a row at 12am , 2am. 4am it really doesn't matter the time of day because t's Constant. I have a 2 yr old daughter who gets frightened at night when she is sleeping and hears these loud train horns (these train horns sound like it's right in our house). We are tired of the trains and lack of respect they have for hard working families when they blow their incredibly loud horns at night!!! How can his be rectified? Pleas contract me and let me know asap.

train whistling

i would like to know since there are guard rails that come down when a train is coming why is it necessary to always blow the whistle so many times and for so long especially after 11 at night, if it is necessary why then did you put the rails, wasn,t that so you wouldn,t have to blow the whistle as much since nothing can pass with the guardrails down. thank you for reading my question and is it possible to enlighten me on the subject ,all my neighbours are wondering the same thing……..I have phoned our city council and they seem to be in accordance to what I thought the guardrails were for and they will be looking into it also….thankyou

Train stopping on track

The train on Hwy 52 between Helena Alabama and Pelham Alabama runs during morning work hours, lunch time hours and around 5pm. If the train were always moving down the tracks there should be no issue. HOWEVER, it is often STOPPED for 15+ minutes at lunch and/ or evening time.

This is already a congested area and a stopped train wreaks havoc on this small community.

On November 4th, at approximately 5:05pm, the train was stopped on the Lee Street track for over 25 minutes. I turned around and went the log way through Pelham/ Alabaster to get past this mess.

There has to be an alternative to stopping a train on the tracks during rush hour. There are limited ways around this track....

Hours of Operation

Trains have been around a long time and are vital to our economy. When you move within several miles of a railroad track, you can expect to hear it, depending on which way the wind blows. Seriously, this is a known fact and should have been taken into consideration when purchasing a home. When I purchased my home, there was nothing behind it. Now I have a busy road. Can I complain? No. I live within a mile of the Safety Harbor Train Track and it wakes me at 3 most week nights, just as the UPS planes wake me at 5 most mornings when they land from the north, into the st. pete clearwater airport. We have a night club down the street that is allowed to blast their music till 2 am...and it keeps me awake some nights, again, depending on wind direction. This is all a part of living in a city/suburb...get over it. and do more during the day so you fall into a deeper sleep at night. I've learned to roll over and go back to sleep. I suggest you do the same.
