Hotel lost my confirmed reservation. Requested quiet upper floor. Was assigned a very noisy(bar music, highway traffic noise etc.) ground level room with a beverage vending machine next to room door. Small items(towels, glasses, soap, coffee etc.)Room air conditioner failed(no cooling) in the middle of the night(Miami is very, very hot in the Summer). Hotel declined to fix it. Next day hotel required that I change rooms if I wanted air conditioning. Hotel refused any relocation assistance(not even a luggage cart) to distant replacement room(senior citizen, lots of luggage).

Replacement room also missing small items(soap, towels, glasses, coffee) and had a defective alarm clock radio. Important since hotel neglected to provide requested wake up calls. Hotel said they would replace the defective clock radio. Never showed up. Next morning, before 6:00 am there was very loud banging on my room door by someone claiming to be hotel security and demanded immediate access. He refused to provide ID. I suspected a security threat and called hotel front desk to verify. No one answered to telephone. I refused access and eventually the intruder left.

At check out I paid the requestd bill in full but filed a formal complaint with the hotel desk manager about the poor quality room(s) and very bad management customer service performance. Manager had no response whatsoever - just grabbed my money and walked away.
