Crooks

This company is CROOKED! They use intimidation tacts and bully you to stay in contract! Quick summary( I've been writing emails and reviews all day to warn people about this shady company)
1. Installation tech: hit on me, made holes in my wall( still there), didn't know how to install equipment took him 5 hours, was at my house till 11pm and rushed me through the contract/ gave me incorrect info on what it stated. ( I know my fault for not just stopping him and reading but it was 11 pm and he was creeping me out I just wanted him out of my house!
2. A week later another tech had to come out because the equipment was improperly installed,and he had been fixing everything that first guy did all day. He stated he was mad because he thought he was at my house to upsell me. Said I would get credit for time system wasn't working- NEVER RECEIVED.
3. After giving the system a chance 3 months later, I realized no one ever showed me how to work it and called to see what my options were to cancel my contract.
That's when things went downhill! I spent SEVEN HOURS on the phone, getting hung up on, yelled at, placed on hold for up to 20 minutes, and finally sent to voicemail. One of the times on hold the girls forgot I was on hold and they were talking about their wild night out and when they realized I was still there and could hear she promptly hungup on me.:)
4. Sent email to corporate offices of both defenders and adt. Angelica defenders called me ( they don't like to email, just like they don't accept checks ;)) she promised me 3 months credit, still haven't received that.
5. Called both companies last week to ask why I have not gotten the credit I was promised, both companies representative said they would call me back never got a phone call.
6. This week at all hours of the day and night I begin to receive phone calls from defenders collection agency this morning I finally got Sarah on the phone to explain why I am receiving these calls. She was extremely abrasive, telling me I had to pay $1200 right now because they canceled my service. You can't imagine how surprised I was for 2 reasons: 1. I never canceled my account I agreed to take the three month credit that I still haven't received and have been paying every month 2. Last month while going over my options both companies said it would be $700 to cancel at that time. I signed a contract where I pay half the equipment so every month I pay it goes down. When I brought to her attention that the number I was given was 700 , her only explanation was they must have given you a 50% off coupon, then began to raise her voice and hung up on me. I think it's pretty terrible that they try to bully their customers out of unsubstantiated amounts of money and yet we're supposed to trust that they're keeping us safe!
Lastly: sent an email to both Adt and deffenders corporate offices at 9 o'clock this morning still waiting for a reply but I won't hold my breath !
