Maternity claim

Why is the turn around time for payouts so long yet every month I contribute towards uif without any issues yet when I apply for a claim I have to wait.

After all this time people are still complaining about service delivery and the government has done nothing to improve it. This is ridiculous. The purpose of these benefits are to assist the citizens but where is the assistance when it's needed? I'm so irate. I'm not asking the employees for their salary, I am entitled to this.

Non payment

Good day
I applied for uif in January, went back to sign in February, and system was down. They made me sign a form and said that they would call me back if anything was wrong, nothing. I went back on the 11 March and my bank form needed to be changed. This I did and submitted. To this day I have not received any money. Please can this be looked into as is very urgent. Maternity benefits

I have been struggling for 6 months to receive maternity benefits. To date I have received 1 payment which took 3 months to receive. Ever since then I am struggling to receive my second payment. I literally call, email and fax every single day. I do not understand why this is such a tedious process. I have been fighting for my own money. My second payment has now been cancelled after 3 months of back and forth and I cannot get through to UIF department. I. I'm Pretty you they will say they are missing documents, yet I keep re-submitting all my documents on a daily basis. This is so sad as I am fighting for my own money and am dependant on it.

uif claim

I am in free state at qwaqwa ,I have applied for uif as I am in maternity leave in 21 February 2017 and I have received an SMS saying I should come back after 35 days,I did and they say I should come back again after 30 days ,I did and I was told the same thing.what should I do now because I have the three months baby now.

No payment

Hi

I have been screwed over by the department of labor several times claiming for uif, The most recent one is that the paymasters happily neglect to pay out your money and do so on their own time.i've been told by the call center that I was going to get my funds by the 17th of February 2017.It's the 20th today and spending my last bit of money on buying airtime to call the department again had with no luck.I've been told the paymaster hasn't submitted my payment and that it will be escalated via e-mail.I also was promised a callback but that has yet to happen.i'm fed up with this government of ours and the laziness of the people in departments.I've registered with the labor department as a work seeker ever since I got retrenched and not once was I even considered or contacted about a possible opportunity.I have to wait another 7 working days now meanwhile, I barely have any money for food or to pay some bills.Why do we pay taxes or UIF if we get treated like shit when we most need it.These call center agents also have no understanding of basic maths as one argued with me that 234 days is 6 months.I have waited a month just to get money, I have to follow up, I have to explain to several agents the story on multiple occasions while the lackluster paymasters sit on their ass doing no work.They happily waste the taxes we pay by being incompetent.i hope the Department of Labor reads this I just want to say that your service delivery is beyond shit.

Incompetence , not received payment

I filled in all paper work given,all forms.request is approved,waited and waited no payment received, called them they said to wait another 3 days no payment received,went bacak again they said by last week friday he will receive payment...ni payment received.went back again monday had to sign again and still no payment received. What is the hold up? I stand to lose my car,the roof over our head and we have a 3 year old daughter to support.0711449657 or 0765763696. I want answers and action taken please.

Still NO payment

I to have been waiting for what feels like forever to receive money which is rightfully mine from the department of labour and like all other woman keep being delayed. I started the final process in December where you hand in the birth certificate and the payment is supposed to be made. The woman who assisted me said as its the 2312 I'd only get payment the first week in January once they returned which is fair. I had the sms to say they received payment notification and it would be done in 7 - 10 working days. During which time I never received payment but an sms to say my papers are outstanding . in much frustration I returned to the labor department only to find there was ONE lady working and she making everyone fill in forms on the pavement and give them to her. I advised her that I was told my paperwork is missing and she said I should fill in the exact same form I already had done and payment would be made but if I don't have money I must come back on the 27th January! (II mean honestly how do you expect a person to survive and support a new born baby!!!) So once again I left there praying that I would get my money as she had been telling everyone e that payments where being made. An hour or so later I got my sms to say payment notification received and it will be 7-10 working days. Fair enough, I say my prayers and hope for the best. But once again I am highly unimpressed as I receive an sms on the Monday to be told my paperwork is missing!!!!!!!!! Tuesday morning early 7:30 I am there and lo and behold the exact same situation, the one lady is still the only staff member working and handing out forms, so I take out my other form which they gave me previously in case I'd need to go back in the event they never paid a lump sum. Anyway, filled in the form and gave it to her,to which I said this is now the SECOND Time I am being told my papers are missing. She insisted they couldn't be and took me upstairs to her office where she showed me they made payment on the 1212016 and I'd have the money on Friday. Why would it need an week to reflect in a person's bank account!!!

Well it is now Saturday morning at 02:01 am and I have still not received a penny!!! I am furious,worried beyond words because how do they expect people to survive! I have sent an email to shereen ceaser, whose email address in under the contacts for the department in alberton but what do you know a response seems to be to much to ask for!!!

Something has to be done to fix this "system" in which they operate. People can not be having to fight to get money which they pay monthly contributions for year after year!! Monday morning I will be back there to argue why I still have not received my money! In December when I was there on another unfortunate day when the whole system was offline,I was told that it had been that way for 2 days the whole nation!! and they were waiting for an emergency meeting in Pretoria to fix the problem to which I asked the man for a phone number so that I could call as my daughter was 7weeks at the time and I didn't feel fair making her go out all the time to see if they were to working , while the entire department was EMPTY he replied and said mam, I can give you a number but we are far to busy to answer telephones so I don't think you'll have any luck!!!!

Maternity uif

Applied on the 24th of August and did not receive feedback ever since you call and hold on for 30 min without answer, and i have to drive to the department to waste money like really Agg called twice am beyond being pissed can someone contact me on 0734460356 or email me on [email protected]

UIF not paid since 22nd April 2015

Good Morning (if it is for you)

I was retrenched on maternity leave, I went to the uif on the 07th January 2015 to claim and was paid out Maternity benifits with no issues. Now because I was retrenched I obviously do not have a job to go back to...
I was advised at the Lenasia Centre to claim for Unemployment benefits.
I did claim for Unemplyment benifits on the 22nd April 2015. I went back to the labor centre on the 20th may 2015 and my claim was still not processed. I went back again on the 10th june and still nothing. On the 12th of june I was told that my claim has been processed on this same day the 12th of june. They said I would be paid in 10 days time. I had still not received my payment so I called the labor centre and just so you know, they take very long to answer or they don't answer at all. I was told to go and give in the payment form at the labor centre. I did so on the 24th june and now my banking details was captured incorrectly. I called and the lady told me that if my payment form has the correct banking details it will be paid, I should just be patient.
I still did not receive my payment. I was agin at the labor centre on the 8th of july and then I received an email to say that they have capitec bank details and if I wish to change it I should take it up with the labor centre.
Why should I go to the labor centre again if my form had the correct bank details.
I then scanned my bank details form stamped by the bank and emailed it to uif.
The problem is that the labor centre only operates once a week on a wed in lenasia and this is so inconvenient.
Everytime they want a new document we can only go on a wednesday and then have to wait 10 days again for them to tell you that something is not right or they need something else.
Don't they realise that we are dependant on this money, while their pockets are sitting fat, we are wondering where our next meal is coming from.

Really need my money now...
