Hi, I've being unemployed since end August 2014, I was really looking forward to at least receiving the bit of UIF to help pay my accounts and help with everyday expenses.

So early November the 9th I went to the Department of Labour submitted all my documentation which already took a whole day and I was given a date on the 19 of December to come back to get a payments form...What I do not understand is how I got there the 19th of December and was informed I should call a number to confirm my where its being approved or declined, No one mentioned this to me...! I eventually ended up calling, needless to say I was broke I was unemployed where are you suppose to get money to make calls...The lady tells me I was declined because it reflects two salaries, only the second salary was a partial bonus for a labour case back dated in 2011 which was paid in August 2014, I faxed threw documentation to this department on the 19th December 2014 and then I called again closer to Christmas only to find out they short of staff and will only beable to deal with it in the new year...NOW imagine what kind of Christmas I had, I could hardly feed myself,
Up until today no one has returned my call, my accounts are in arrears, that UIF I paid every month is such a waste but to get it back is apparently a lot harder, its easy to take from you but not easy to pay it out...I don't get the irony of that!
No one cares about you, they relaxed they short of staff its sickening, Why do you pay tax to get poor service as well, and when you try to claim money that's also a slow process...Seriously, Disgusting!
