My name is boitumelo and Im currently on.maternity leave..i applied for maternity benefits on the 22nd august 2016 in boksburg.since then i have been sent back and forth for one thing or another..i eventually got an sms that said that i will receive payment in 7-10 days..the days passed and i didnt get anything..i went back to the department only to be told by the consultant that if my company is paying me a portion i wont get anything form labour.i was furious because i contribute towards the uif without default.how then can i be denied the benefits.i then decided to email the supervisor of that department..he was very helpful..it was at that point that i realised that my application had not been approved.something that no one told me about..within a week he told me that my application has been aproved.i just need to come in and sign for payment.when i went back to go sign for payment o was told that my profile is open.which means that i cant get paid unless sum1 from another labour department in germiston closes it and this person has been awol.my profile needs to closed because from their side it appears as though im back at work and thus they.cant process the payment.i really dont understand that concept at all..all i know is im tired of all these trips to the department nd still no help..whilst the bills pile up ..please assist me with this request..my cellphone number is 0786101401
