I have been going to the dept of Labour in Brits North West since April. Today I was there again standing in the que for 2 hours to get at the help desk. The guy there told me he will help me now I must just wait so he started helping the people behind me. When I got angry and asked why he didn't want to help me. He's answer was that this was the help desk and he is helping the people. So what am I ? An Alien ? So I told him then he must help me because I was first in line. He got very arrogant and said I must give the telephone number so he can phone my employer to enquire about the forms and payslips she doesn't want to give to me. She wasn't in the office. He didn't even try on her cellphone. He just tell me he cannot do anything about it and I must come back on Monday then they will open up a case. This was 12h00. He didn't even tell me to open a case at the person that is dealing with cases. They don't even try to assist me. It is my constitutional right to receive UIF benefits. I have been trying now since April to sort this out. My rent is overdue and I have children to feed. I must borrow money for fuel to go to the offices weekly just to go home empty handed. What must I do ? Can I open a case against this department and previous employer for taking away my rights ?
