Dear Complaints Board

We are working in this Country and contributing to UIF, i have been unemployed since Aug 2013 and have been signing, every month its the same situation whereby payments are received late, now i have signed on 24/03/2014 and to date no uif payment has been made into my account, i am unemployed and sitting with bills. When you phone the number VERULAM DEPT (032) 541 5600 there is no answer, or by some chance someone answers and transfers the call, you are cut off, after over 80 calls i got through to someone who said the Labour Dept had a financial Shut down period and that no payments have been done. How can you shut down with out paying the UIF to the people in need. and to date they can not give me an answer as to when the payment will be done it is now the 08/04/2014 and i am still unsure of when the payment will be done. This is truly and outrage as we have contributed all these years and this is the service we get, Verulam Dept of Labour is the worst in this Country and the Manager is so unprofessional in that he can not even give specific dates and abide by this - His response is " i cant give you a payment date. Verulam Dept of Labour should close down as i am sure i am not the only person still struggling and waiting for March UIF payment to be made.
