FYI Here is the email I sent inquiring about Mass Emails-

Background-this client use to be called XXXX (new owners purchased the business). They kept the same phone number. The new owners have the email distro list from the previous owner.

The Goal Here Is To Get Notice Out To ALL previous customers of XXXX and drive them to come and visit XXXXX location, new owners, new menu, new wine selection, and they have Spirits now.

Attached are the email distros: One is their current Square Customers the other is the former owners list.

The question I have is I need to get this email out BUT the Thryv has not launched yet-the Web Designer is re-doing the site – can we send from the Clients Dashboard without Thryv launching?

I want to make this as clean and effective for the client as possible-with that being said I am 100% confident in the emails on their Square Report-this is their client base and would love to get emails out to the ASAP in regards to the event happening this week and their new opening is official –they have Spirits ETC…….

With that being said the former list from XXXXXXX is not as clean-I am thinking that we should have an email go out from XXXXXXX email to them asking them to opt in on the website to be part of the NEW XXXX but I need the site up to do this. BUT THIS NEEDS TO BE EXPEDITED ASAP.

1) completed website to our satisfaction

3) FB page under correct name, u stated on 4/19 that it would take a few days
4) text messages set up to target our customers and sent out.

U have added un-wanted stress to us that we don’t need. I’m unimpressed with you & your company. We could have done this quicker and more efficient, with less stress and money!

If you would like to launch your website right away, call or email me right away and let me know and I will take care of it for you. You also can email me with any changes you would like on your site.

Just a quick reminder that we have your Thryv Design Review Call scheduled for today Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 3:30 P.M PT using the conference call number of (844) 800-5962 / Conference Code: 670361.

Thanks once again for choosing DexYP TM as your marketing partner.

Also I want to note the current calender on the site is a placeholder, we do not have an interactive option currently within our Thryv platform , but I want to suggest the most popular solution that our clients use, that is the easiest to manage. That is using a google event calendar, all that would be needed is for the calendar to be managed through your google account. We then simply frame the calender in your website with an embed code. I want to provide examples that are currently used by some of our other clients.

Ex: http://grandcentraltrainingfacility1.dev.thryv.com/events-calendar
I will be more than happy to touch on this and any other subject during the design review.

Hello,

It appears there has been no movement on the web page.

http://.dev.thryv.com/overlay

Message from 4/27/2018

Hello,
here are a few things.

1) Homepage:

- Reword "Call us Today" that is not our message or what we want the costomer to do.
- Logo should be front and center;
- I like the rotating banner on home page, however, how do we update scrolling photos, are we able to split screen that? I would like to scroll one with our food and other with events....

-Take out the "Contact Us!" it takes up prime real estate on the main page and replace it with:

"About / Reservations / Menus & Stories / Wine & Sprites / Events" tabs at the bottom of the page/in it's place. All tabs should allow for Text and Scrolling Photos

* About tab- should show Restaurant address & contact info and allow us to speak to the Restaurant & Team History, & promote wine shop, gifts, music, events.....
* Reservations tab - reservation page and display our Hours, Address
* Menu tab - allows us to post menu and specials
* Wine & Spirits tab- tab where we can promote Wine Clubs, Weekly Tastings, and list Specialty Spirits and Wines
* Special Events & Catering tab- we can promote future events, and catering services

2) Menu Page:

- Not sure I like the boxed-in menu items (flat breads, salads), it appears clunky, or is that industry standard?
- Menu items, I would prefer a left hand side read, with photo on the right. I think this would allow for a quicker read.
- Dinner Menu can be remove. We are not open for lunch or breakfast at the time.
- Change Appetizer to Small Plates and put all Appetizers, Flat Breads, Charcuterie and salads under that heading with Call out as the menu progresses down.
- Change Pasta to Entrees

3) Calendar page:

* Events calendar is confusing. Do I have to click on the date to see what is happening? I can only click on one date and when clicked is says request an appointment for:
* Can we move Cork & Canvas to different location or have better separation?

---------------------------------------------------nothing ever happened, page they sent was bogus and not thought out---------------------------

Hello XXXXXXX,

First, let me apologize that you weren’t happy with the initial design of the site or the completion timeframe. I checked with David and reviewed some of the details related to the site and see you reviewed the draft of the site at your design review on 04/17/2018. Unfortunately, he was not able to add the new images and content you sent over on Sunday, but he shared the new preview link with Lisa today.

I have a few questions for you:

1) David is at least six days late on the website. It was to be completed 17, April at the latest. Where are we with that? I paid. “Upfront” monies to have it done in a timely manner.

From what I can tell, he has spent less than a creative hour. I have built several websites. It appears David is using my food truck website as a template now.

2) I would like to contact Lisa Reynon’s manager, do you have a contact?

Thank you in advance for your timely response.

Dex Media

have over the past three months made 51 contacts with this organization, and have had numerous promises, and have as yet to find someone to solve all of the problems and/or be a responsible party that follows up on what they said they would do. I suspect that the turnover in this organization is so great that the initial contacts I have after complaining to the president of the company, and then being referred after approximately three weeks to someone that purports to be in "executive resolutions", I find that after an initial contact, and subsequent follow-up emails with me that the person does not respond. I'm going to assume therefore that the person is no longer with the organization, such as the three sales representatives that made promises over the past three months, and then I find that they are no longer with the organization. Being in a service business with over 35 years of experience, I cannot even imagine treating a customer as I have been treated. I further state that in the 51 contacts I had to this point with the organization they are to fix the problems with their system that are associated with that which is been promised it to me, and subsequently been compensated for. The scariest thing about all of these folks is that had I not complained, and continued to complain, and continued to complain after that, I would been billed double to triple what I initially agreed on, for a system that did not work. Their sorry ass excuse is that if part of the advertising works, that part will be charged for. That is not, was not, and will not ever be something that I would agree to. When I sell a customer a product, such as a kitchen sink faucet, I expect not only that that faucet looks good, but that it does not leak, and that when I turn the hot on, hot water comes out, AND when I turn on the cold on, cold water comes out. I know in today's society with its general lack of moral compass, that that is somewhat of an oddity, but I expect the same services I would give to a customer, and not expect the customer to have to fix the product after I've left their jobsite. One of the last things that I had to complain about over six times was that a potential customer could not send a "contact me" request, because that feature did not work. Come to find out after all of that time, I went back to what would could be considered an old timer (11 years of experience) with the organization that preceded this (YP) and he fixed it within five minutes, by simply putting in the right email address as contact information for me. I want to make sure that you got it; after six contacts regarding this asking their single point of contact "experts" no one of those experts had the common sense to check the accuracy of the email address. I can't imagine any situation in my business where I wouldn't be fired being that stupid, careless, inattentive to details, or whatever the hell else one could use to describe the nightmare that I've been through for the past three months, perhaps only superseded by having to deal with the IRS.It’s too bad that this organization has what I would consider a monopoly in the advertising field. My advertising with these folks is about like having to subscribe to the tenets of the affordable care act, because it’s the only thing out there. I've communicated with these people so many times, that I have entered a word into my wordprocessing software specifically to describe them. It is DexYP. That's DexYP. Are you sure you got it? DexYP. Do y'all know any other site that I can post on to tell other customers of my experiences?

Fraudulent Contract and Practices

Unfortunately for all of us, we didn't read all these complaints against Dexmedia before we engaged in any type of business relationship with such fraudulent company.

I did a contract based on a month to month agreement since my husband and I do not do long term contract specially with a company that we don't know anything about. I agreed that our conversation was recorded when the representative was telling me what to say during the recording, and I told the representative that I was agreeing to a month to month contract, if I didn't see any results I will cancel at any time. I canceled the contract and they continue to send me invoices of past due bills. I hired a lawyer to help me with this situation and when Dexmedia sent my lawyer a copy of the recoding it didn't have the part where I I told the representative that I was only agreeing to a months to month contract. Dexmedia is a fraud and all the representatives are very well trained to act in a fraudulent manner. It's is very sad that we are not protected against such vicious organizations. This type of companies should not be allowed to conduct business in the USA.

My lawyer could not help me because the recoding was stopped when I started asking / confirming with the representative that I was not agreeing to a 12 month contract. Also,, if I wasn't happy with the service I can cancel at any time!!

Avoid doing business with Dexmedia, they are a FRAUD!

Will not cancel media account

Our company has used Dex yellow pages for nearly 10 years, in 2016 we inadvertently got dex digital added to our advertising. We have now spent months trying to get this canceled with false promises. We don't have a web site thru dex media, now we are being told they auto renew our contract. 2018 term even after we told them not to renew any of our adds in a recorded call and in writing. We have been in contact with managers, supervisors but they are all scamming not to release our media account and directories for our new web site. I would not advise anyone to purchase anything from this company as you will have nightmares. So I have contacted legal advise and I guess that is the way it will be settled.

DEX MEDIA - FRAUDULENT PRACTICES

BEWARE!!! Dex Media is a company's worst advertising nightmare. DO NOT, under any circumstances involve yourself with this company. See the other complaints, all true, concerning mixed up billing, lag time in posting payments, late charges, etc. That is mild in comparison to the fraudulent practices of the company. Dex claims to be a Google Partner. If you advertise with a Google partner, you would expect your SEM advertising that you are paying over $1500/month for to be showing up on the first page of Google and to be bringing you qualified leads. Warning, they do not advertise on Google, rather they advertise primarily on SuperPages.com, a site I personally never search on. When I researched our Dex ad on SuperPages.com the results were sub par at best. Performing the Google search via the Google Ad preview tool showed we were non existent on Google with our Dex SEM campaign. The only way we were showing up on Google was organically due to our excellent website. After disputing our contract with Dex in a knock down drag out process (there is so much more to this that I can not get in to here), they agreed to cancel our contract and sent us a formal letter stating "Your Marketing Program, as of 9/16/2016 is detailed below including any additional fees." "Search Engine Marketing At Launch Cancelled". We have received no further "services" from Dex. We paid the last bill, and when they claimed they received the payment a few days late they immediately sent us to a collection agency. We have never ceased receiving monthly invoices and phone calls from them claiming we owe them on our cancelled contract. We were contacted by Barr Credit first stating they were collecting on a debt and then claiming they would aid us with the dispute, which led to a dead end. I just received another phone call from a debt collector today from a phone number in Florida. I will not concede to these despicable people. They collected on thousands upon thousands of dollars from our company without delivering on any of their promises before my sister and I came in and realized what was happening. They are without a doubt a disgrace to the advertising industry. I was even told by 2 representatives who came to our office to try to renew our contract that Google is very expensive to advertise with. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR: Get a Google Adwords or Google Adwords Express account and decide on your own budget and territory to advertise in. You can do it yourself and it couldn't be easier! I now advertise on Google with my own Adwords Express Ad and it is working like a charm. Our budget is set to $150/month. Our business has never been better, and you can see your results directly from your Adwords account login page. Take matters into your own hands. You do not need these liars, stealers, and cheaters!!

Terrible People

This is possibly the worst company to do business with. We have had problems with Dex for over 3 years.
They had a system update over the holidays that resulted in major late charges to my account. When I first contacted them to fix my problem all I got was it will be fixed but all employees are on break until mid January. When I finally got to talk to their account receivables all they kept saying was sorry and they didn't know how their new system worked. Well its been over 3 years and they still don't know how it works. I try and talk to my rep. and all she can say is "i'll forward this to Lynn" Why are you my rep if that's all you can do? You are obviously not taking me as a customer seriously. Let me talk to "Lynn" Let me get my answers directly from her. They WONT remove the late charges they applied to my account and they keep applying my payment to the wrong account (even though I attach their statement stub)
This is a list of my problems that i have been going through for over 3 years now. And they wont fix it!!
DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM!! Avoid the headache.

Statements being sent out too late giving us no time to receive and pay our bill in a timely manner.
Payments being posted to our account are not applied in a timely manner. (Takes them 2 weeks to apply a payment even though they have it sitting right in front of them!! They openly admit this.)
Payments being posted to the wrong accounts. Constantly. And wont re apply them to the correct ones! (more late charges)
Amounts due are less than or more than our book price. And we even tried paying the amount they ask for. Then behold!! they apply to the wrong account because the amount isn't our book price!!
Collection letters and calls. Their collection department can see the mistakes they made and straight out tell you I'm only the collection department I cant do anything to help you. BUT I WILL KEEP TRYING TO COLLECT THE NON EXISTENT MONEY YOU OWE!!

They are just a big headache.

Scam, Scam, Fraudulent Advertising Co.

I have run across a few Fraudulent Scam companies, but no one is bad as dex (rip me off media). There should be a Class Action Lawsuit coming soon, what are they waiting for. All they want is you money, they first start out saying the start up fee is $ 199.00, but they don't tell you about another $ 150.00 fee added to your credit Card. Then once you cancel even before your ads or service starts, they bill you another $ 800.00 dollars. They do not produce what they promise, I contacted many victims and they stated they were lucky to get one lead in 3-4 months. They are the worst of the worst. They will never get on penny from me, and no one else should ever pay off these criminals. They all should be arrested and all of the bills comes from 1615 Bluff City Highway-Bristol, TN 37620. They also have an office in Texas, unless it has been closed down by the authorities.

Criminal activity at best

I advertised with Dex Media for about 3 years. I have closed both my accounts but they won't stop billing me for them. They threaten me over the phone and by email to "pay up" in 7 days or they will destroy my credit rating. They even admit there is no advertising account currently active. Now I have to get a lawyer and file a complaint with the NY Attorney General's office.
This isextortion!!! The people at Dex Media should be in Riker's Island.

Immoral Business Practices

I have been going round and round with Dex Media for years. I can relate to every single complaint I see listed here. As a small business owner, I have been made to look ridiculous to the public. Even when they are made aware of errors they blatantly disregard them.

I am speaking with an attorney tomorrow, but I am also wondering if there are any class action lawsuits against them. Seems to me at this point there should be!

Business Practices

Be aware of the automatic contract renewal. It is very difficult to cancel any advertising with Dex. I never received a reminder or a proof for renewal. I did not want to advertise for another year but it was renewed without my knowledge. I am now in the process of cancelling for the following year. There are so many different addresses and phone numbers, it is very difficult to confirm my cancellation. I am very surprised that a recognized company like this would use such practices. Very disappointed.

Fraudulent Practices!!

As a business professional for over 35 years, I can honestly say that I have NEVER dealt with a company like Dex Media. I have had numerous dealings with various people at their company, many of which speak broken English. I attempted to sever our contract the month prior to it ending. I was given a cancellation number, and the girl informed me my "marketing representative" would be contacting me because I "had to talk to him". Days went by and no phone call, so I assumed it was complete and our association with this company, whose business practices were unsavory in my opinion, was over.

Two weeks later I receive a bill with a zero balance. I was concerned, but wanted to verify that it was our final bill, and that our contract was satisfied and we were square.

No........ according to the girl with limited English, I had only successfully canceled the white pages advertising. The digital advertising contract automatically renewed and now we are locked in to another year contract!!!!!!! I told her point blank that I had called previously with the intent to disentangle ourselves from Dex Media altogether, but she simply gave me a case number and said someone will be calling me back in "3 to 5 days".

This manner of doing business is outrageous. I am warning every person reading this: attempting to cancel with this company is next to impossible. Anyone in authority is like the great and mighty Oz behind the curtain! The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing, and they will simply not let go without a fight and you will lose a great deal of money for virtually nothing.

Dex Media

As a result of the incorrect advertising by Dex, my business actually decreased and eventually closed. I have reported this here before. Is anyone aware of a class action lawsuit against Dex for all of these?

Incorrect information on my add

The information for my advertising was listed incorrectly on half of my ads. My business went down by exactly 50% which was not enough to earn a living. Any attempts to contact anyone at Dex media were a waste. have spent the cumulative nine and a half hours on hold. They have tried to contact me telling me to pay the bill and I've tried to tell my story, they then hang up. Now the bill has been sent to collection. I have never talked to a human being who has been able to assist me with this.

I'm not going to pay that out for advertising this is incorrect, advertising that in fact actually cause my business to go down because it was wrong.

The business person sales person who wanted me to buy the advertising was certainly available when I needed her to help me with the ad to start with. But the moment when something was wrong, gone.I have never been able to contact human beings. This company is a scam

extra charges

I paid for the year in advance. about half way through I get a bill for a small charge. When I asked about it they said That they added a more updated thing of some sort. I told them I paid in full so I wouldn't have any bill. At that time they removed the charge but now I am getting a charge for$2.40 . I sent it back with a notice that I paid at the beginning in full. They send me another bill with a small late charge. After more then 4 phone calls I finally reached a person who couldn't explain it well enough so I said I wanted to cancel. She said the total left on my current contract to cancel was $31.40. and she gave me a# to start the canceling process. She said I had to talk to my rep yo complete the cancellation. She transferred me he wasn't in and after leaving messages 4 times I have NEVER been called back. I also sent in 2 complaints using their web site, No replies. Why doesn't the corporate office take care of this place. You have to contact your clients back.

Fraudulent contracts!

I'm thrilled to hear all the complaints about Dex Media!
Now I know that all the fraud that Dex Media has committed against my business over the past 12 years is not just my experience. I am a garage door company that has been working to pay Dex Media since 2002. I can say that I am currently a multimillion dollar gross business that is on the verge of bankruptcy due to Dex overcharging for their products, lying about their books usage, having multiple phone books for one small area that only needs one book in order to force you to spend more to reach all your potential customers, sharing confidential customer information between reps in order to sell more advertising, changing heading rules to appease certain customers, offering certain products to some customers but not others creating unfair business, and charging one customer one thing then your competitor a different rate. They tell you that your rates are half what the real rate is to make you feel all warm and cozy about the deal they gave you then when you want to drop your program to a smaller ad the next year because they sucked your business dry and you can't afford it anymore they tell you all your incentive money will go away and you will have to pay full rate for the smaller ad which comes out to the same rate. So in other words once you spend big money they force you to continue to spend that same amount or your screwed and wont be in the book at all. Dex knows that my business is a service business and needs the phone book still to get business so they take advantage of that the best they can. The list goes on and on and I have experienced it all!
They are crooks that will do whatever they can to suck money out of you and make you feel important as a client. Then the minute you turn your back they are doing whatever they can to screw you over by offering better products and deals to your competition. It's all a big scam game where they play their reps and customers against each other to generate as much revenue as they can for themselves without any concern for their clients well being. They say they want you to be successful and partner with you and if your not successful they wont be, blah blah blah. These are all sales tactics the sales reps are taught to pull the big sheet over your eyes while they are stabbing you in the back!
Every year they show me their usage figures and claim it hasn't gone down figures. These usage figures are shown on bullshit charts done by this third party company they use which I'm convinced is in bed with Dex to deceive their customers that their book is still being used. That's the big argument with them about usage when I tell them their full of it. They say " well we don't figure the usage ourselves we have a third party company do it". Yeah I bet they do! They are being paid off to generate false documents to show their customers and potential customers in order to sell their products and triple what any other phone book charges. I have done my own usage tests this year and I average 4 calls a day out of a program that costs me over $15k per month. That means that every day $500.00 goes straight to Dex which translates to $125.00 per call on average! The amount paid per lead with advertising on a national average for my type business is under $25.00!
I cannot believe the Feds have not brought these crooks to justice for the crimes they commit all over the United States against small business's that don't have anymore money to sue considering Dex already stole it all. Forget the Attorney General and the BBB, It's time to get the FBI involved and I'm ready to lead the parade to bring this big corporate scam company down. If you have been a victim of Dex Media please contact your personal attorney and the local FBI agent. If you have a solid case your attorney should take it on contingency and if not find one that will.
