Poor Customer Service

I called to inquire about Direct TV and the benefits versus Charter Cable. The representative was extremely rude, did not answer any questions directly until she had all my personal information, how many televisions I owned, etc. I told her I wanted information before signing up, etc. Once I finally got the information (like pulling teeth), she asked for my social security number. I told her I do not share that and she said "then you can't get service" and hung up. Never have I had such terrible customer service, especially when trying to purchase a product. Not only did she not explain things, it seemed as if she was being bothered by very basic questions. She started the call with "it's a pleasure to help you". The opposite came through on the call. If this is the introduction to signing up for service, I can only imagine the service when there is an issue.

Poor Customer Service

Usually DirecTV holds off on becoming jerks until after you have signed the contract. Consider yourself lucky you found out about this company before you signed up.

Worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with

DirectTV is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. I will be cancelling my service just as soon as I possibly can and I will tell anyobe who will listen to steer clear of this company. Their "customer service" (oxymoron for sure) is a joke. It took 2 1/2 weeks to get a rapair person out to fix a broken HD DVR. 2 days later, same problem. When I said just switch to a plain 'ol regular receiver, they said I would have to pay $70, after I already paid $199 for the damn HD DVR.

Worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with

I had direct TV installed in Nov. They told us to put in the rebate before we get our installation up. We however did it on line with one of their representatives walking us through it. When we were done they told us that the rebate went through and we could go ahead and set up the installation. However the first bill we got was an outrages bill, considering what our monthly bill was supposed to be, so we called them and they told us to go ahead and pay the bill and they would credit us the following months. Not so, later on we were told to put in the rebate once again as it didn't go through. I still haven't seen the bill we agreed on yet. It's been 4 months now. I'm sick of DIRECT TV and their lies!
