unauthorized charges

I started service wtih DISH network in the fall of 2009. I moved at the end of July, 2010, and called to ask them to cancel services. Since I had a 2 year contract, they said they could not cancel yet., but could in 3 months. I told them to cancel as soon as possible. They not only did not cancel in 3 months, they continued to bill me, and the amount increased twice. Since it was my debit card with a lot of charges every month, I called my bank and they assured me that DISH was no longer debiting my account. They continued to debit my account until I had to get a new debit card. Then I received mail telling me that I owed them money. When I called, I then discovered they had been billing me without my authorization; they had billed be $900 after I had moved and had no service. They were nasty over the phone. When I called they would put me on hold for 20 to 30 minutes, then when I asked to speak to the person's supervisor, I would be put on hold for another 20 to 30 minutes. It took several phone calls and me yelling at the represenative over the phone (I rarely yell) to get them to refund about $400 0r $500 of the $900 they owed me. It took several calls to get the box to return the equipment; they billed me over $300 for it in the interim. Then they had the audacity to bill me for $15.00 for postage for returning the equipment. When I refused to pay, they sent me to collections for $15 when they had owed me $400.
DISH is the worst company I have ever worked with. They are fraudulant and nasty, and totally uncooperative.

I now have Comcast services - it is $23 per month every month - I pay by check, and there is no contract. Comcast is far superior to DISH. I will not use DISH again. I hope they get sued.
