I am a DRI owner under their points system and my ownership is damaging my finances and potentially my credit. I was lured into a low price for points not understanding that the amount of points I was deeded for were essentially too low on their own for a respectable timeshare vacation (not enough points for the places I would want to stay) and the maintenance fees alone would cover a better vacation than my points would pay for. I understand that strict interpretations of product liability law infer some sort of safety hazard to the consumer, but my finances are damaged by the cost of a product I can't use or even sell, and if I stop paying the exorbitant maintenance fees, my credit will suffer. I am literally trapped with a product I can't use or sell that costs me almost $3000 per year. The whole timeshare system is a predatory market where the company gouges the customer, and those trying to get out are exploited by timeshare sellers and lawyers who know you are desperate to do anything and just stand in line to take more out of your pocket. There must be some sort of legal relief to those of us that simply want out, I am so disgusted by DRI that I can't even bring myself to use the meager points I have for a 3 night stay at a run down resort hotel. Please help!
