Non cancellation of contract
My mother received an sms claiming that she owes Multichoice more than R 13 000 on a Dstv Explora contract which she had cancelled after discovering that they marketed falsely. When she signed up she was told on three separate occasions that there will be no connection or installation charges, which turned out to be lies! The decoder arrived and she couldn't connect it due Tia need for installation. She immediately contacted them to cancel contract. This was in April 2015. All of a sudden she receives an sums claiming she owes them is huge sum. This is unacceptable and I have logged a complaint, but we have done so on at least 4 occasions previously, but clearly they don't act as instructed. Unacceptable and the matter needs to be resolved.
