No warranty

I bought a car battery at Sams Club. It has a 3 year free replacement warranty written on the battery. It didn't last 2 years. I went to Sams to trade it in and was told I had to have a membership or the warranty would not be honored. I called Duracell and was told that Sam's provides the warranty not Duracell! Duracell doesn't even stand by their auto batteries, for any amount of time!
I'll never buy a Duracell battery again.
