I made a payment arrangement with equita to pay off owed council tax, the arrangement was made in November 2017 to pay £350 per month over four months to finish the debt, first payment was made fist week of November and every month by 10th, so second Payment was made 9th December 2017 as agreed on a automated payment line (payment ref: 987305) but on the 14 December I received a text message from equita enforcement agent threatening to remove goods so I called him but got no answer his voicemail said don't leave voicemails , text instead and he will get back to me so I text him to inform him that a this month payment has been made and the Payment reference number and asked him to look into it and call me, but I got no reply or call and on the 15th of December 2017 I got a home visit to remove goods, as nobody was home he left a note with the same mobile number on it which I tried calling and sent the text to the previous day. This agent completely ignored my call and text message and decided to do a home visit and added a £235 to the debt. I have all record of calls and text messages sent. I have also sent a complaint to Birmingham city council and equita themselves. the equita reference number is 20495071 and the equita enforcement agents number is 07931990519.
