No Refund Express Scripts Error

Husband was prescribed a diabetic medication that cost $1395. I called and told them NOT to take it out of our checking account as our other meds were on autopay. The man I spoke with took the card information for our HSA account to take the money out of there and not our checking. I told him the money would be in there on the 1st of the month so to wait until then to send it and withdraw from HSA account. Two days later got an email saying the medication had shipped. I checked our checking account and they withdrew the $1395 from our checking account. That same day the doctor discontinued that medication and cancelled the prescription. I called Express Scripts and they told me to call DHL to stop the shipment. I called the number they gave me but was told by DHL that only Express Scripts could stop the shipment. I called ES back and they refused to do so. I was told that it appeared that the shipment had been stopped. It had not. I was told on three different occasions that somebody would call me in 24-48 hours. Never happened. We had overdraft fees from our checking account as this was not taken care of like we were told it would be. The medication was shipped but I was able to refuse the shipment before it was ever delivered to our home. Express Scripts received the returned medication in the same condition they sent it as we never actually received the medication. They refuse to refund us the $1395.

ignoring specific mail request!

On 12/7/11 I called and requested to speak to a CSR for urgent information on my delivery of a prescription which was just dated for refill..I told her the details of needing my medication delivered express delivery to my home address, as I am about to leave for an extended trip to Az./Ca.. She took down all the the info. and asked if I would accept the $21. chg. for express delivery. I agreed and thought everything I specified was in place. Today 12-11, I called to find the status of my prescription, and was shocked to find it had been processed in regular mail delivery and would be received approximately 12-20!!! I asked to speak to a Supervisor, she brought up all the notes taken by the CSR, but blamed it on the Pharmacy Dept. for neglecting to follow the instructions. I will now be required to call and ask my doctor for an interim refill and have it called into a local Pharmacy. Plus I will have the added burden of not having my daily meds. until I return home where it has been sent REGULAR MAIL!! This Company is very ill-run, slip-shod, and has a careless attituude about satisfying all it's paying members.

So your name is Jesus and you have never made a mistake? If you are not Jesus and have in fact, made mistakes, then you are obviously irresponsible with no care for those you inconvenienced.

Let's face it, a mistake was made and as long as your meds are processed by human beings, there will always be a chance for error. As for it being the TECH's fault, honey they FILL the scripts, they do NOT mail them.
