Overcharging on Purpose (Improper Billing)
ACCOUNT # 354-637-3337:
I View my daily usage on dashboard on a daily basis. I have noticed FPL employees ADDING charges to my daily usage -- even when I am not at home and there is no activity in my unit and it seems they are doing this on purpose. This has been going on for the past 2 months, I just haven’t said anything, but now FPL empoyees are getting out of hand with my bill.
The Bill-To-Date and PROJECTED BILL ARE SUPPOSED TO BE THE SAME FIGURES, BUT AT THE BEGINNING OF A NEW CYCLE (For example: JUNE 26, 2018 – FPL IS PROJECTING MY BILL TO BE $60.72 – My Bill has never been over $50.00 ).
Once they project my bill to be $60.72 at the beginning of the cycle, everyday the bill is going up more and more for the next 30 days—
THE SMART METER DOESN’T PROJECT BILLS FOR THE NEXT MONTH. THIS IS A NASTY EMPLOYEE COMMITTING THIS KIND OF ACT & SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH CORPORATE OFFICE AND THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING BUT ADD TO THE PROBLEM.
I have filed 5 complaints since June 4. 2018 about FPL employees adding charges to my FPL bill when I am not at home and there is no activity in my unit -- JUST because I have filed complaints. FPL employees are setting amounts for me to pay on their own, which is not their decision to make. An Employee is tampering with FPL System and there is illegal activity being committing and something needs to be done about the problem. It’s not fair for them to add charges on my bill on their own because I have complaints – BUT THEY ARE DOING THIS ON PURPOSE – MORE AND MORE.
I am on a Fixed income and this is nasty. This kind of activity needs to be investigated –not just overlooked

Damaged water Heater
Good evening.
My name is Mayra Del Toro and I'm filing a Complaint to FP&L SINCE THEY have not been able to re-imburse me for something that caused my water heater to burn. The account is under my husband's name Newton Del Toro; Right after we had the hurricane back in September which we were without electricity for more than a week, FP&L started working on the POLES OUTSIDE TO RESTORE ELECTRICITY WHICH THEY EVENTUALLY DID. IN THE MEANTIME, EVERY TIME THEY WERE WORKING THE TECHNICIANS TURNED THE POWER ON AND OFF without consulting with anybody to be able for us to turn off our equipment to be on the safe side. It just so happen, that my water heater got damaged because of this. We were without hot water for 3 days until my husband decided to buy a new water heater. We had to dispose of the old one, but I called FP&L to get re-imbursed becauseof what happened. So I asked what were the steps I had to do and they sent me an application back in October which I filled it out and mailed it with the new Water Heater receipt. I called back in December as a follow-up and they couldn't find nothing, so they asked me to Re-fax it. So i faxed it again. In January i called back, and they couldn't give me an straight answer so I asked to talk to the manager in charge. A gentleman by the name of Mr. Foster called and told me that they couldn;t do anything because that's the way FP&l WORKS AND THAT THEY SIMPLY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE. As simple as that. SO THEY CAN DESTROY ANY EQUIPMENT YOU HAVE IN THE HOUSE AND THEY SIMPLY WASH THEIR HANDS LIKE Poncio Pilato. Later i also received a letter stating the same. please, see attached documents. All I'm asking .is that i get re-imbursed by $ 305.00; Please, i need an answer on this since it's been over 6 months. Thank you again for your help. Myra
