2014 Focus

These cars are garbage and dangerous , transmission does what it wants when it wants this is highly dangerous when pulling into traffic . Back doors may come open at any time same for deck lid . Wears tires every 15-18,000 miles . Doors may lock and not let you out of car unless you restart car , there is nowhere to unlock doors manually . If anyone has any questions you can call me direct , I'M SURE FORD WOULD LIKE YOU TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF DANGEROUS GARBAGE THEY ARE SELLING . Their service people have been trained to get you to blow off problems. Give me a call I can save you a lot of problems and expenses .
Joey 205-308-4762 These cars need to removed from service , they are dangerous to everyone around them .

2017 F150 lug nuts

I had my Ford serviced for the 1st time at the dealer. When I got it back most all of the lug nuts on my 20 inch chrome rims showed they were damaged and deformed. The two piece lug nuts used on this vehicle are crap. Why can't Ford put quality lug nuts on a $60k truck that don't deform when they are torqued? If I need to change a tire in an emergency will I be able to remove these inferior lug nuts?

Bad transmissions

Buyers beware the 2010 to 2017 Ford focus! Please do not purchase these cars to run yourself and especially your children in until you know they have fixed all the transmission issues. Since 2010 Ford has put a manual transmission in these automatic cars via a computer shift module. After years of class action lawsuits Ford continues with this putting you and your families at risk. We have a 2017 Focus Titanium that has had all sorts of issues. First reported at around 9500 miles and continues now at all most 19000 miles. I have almost been rear-ended multiple times pulling out with plenty of space and the car will not shift and I’m stuck doing 20 to 30 mph while the car is stuck in 1st or 2nd gear. At this point the car will either need to be pulled of the shoulder and restarted it or at ~7500 RPM it will slam in a gear and go. We have also had several times entering the interstate that the car will not shift and we are stuck entering the highway only able to go 30MPH and must merge all the traffic to get back off and shut the car down to go again. These are super scary when you have your young kids in the back and are at risk of being hit due to no fault of your own only the junk car that ford continues to overlook your safety and keep on the market. Other issues include grinding between gears (sounds like tires spinning on loose gravel); coming out of gear on a grade in drive and in reverse, sometimes will not shift until at 7000 to 8000 Rpm. We purchases this car as an economical way to run our kids from school and sports as ourselves to work. This was way cheaper than hauling them in the 2017 F250 that we purchased at the same time. We now have a vehicle we fear to haul our children around in that has been in the shop for 38 days of the 7 months we have owned it. We are loyal Ford customers and you would think they would do something to help us out and to stop the potential of getting future customers in a vehicle that is unsafe to drive. We have 5 Fords in the drive way currently and another driver coming up soon. We purchased this car and truck and dropped $75,000 dollars to Ford with this purchase and they continue to not care about the safety of my family. I will say that the owner of the dealership has been great to help us and are really trying to work out a deal that’s helps us out. The owner of the dealership even took our car home for a week and had many of the same issues including others so he is on our side. He decided to put us in a loaner car until Ford corporate decides to do something to get us out of this unsafe car. Unfortunately Ford corporate just wants to keep trying to fix the car with total disregard for my family’s safety until it out of warranty and becomes our problem. We thought after the dealership owner got involved we were making headway as they spoke of a buy back or trade assistance that would bring us close to whole for trading it in on another new car. And we planned to go into a Flex so that double the cost of the focus we are trying to get out of for safety concerns. Then yesterday we get a call from Ford that they would rather just keep trying to fix this car disregarding our safety and hoping that it hits the warranty mileage and becomes my problem. I’m like give me a break you expect me to run this thing 40 minutes one way to the dealer 2 or 3 times a week when it acts up again and wait to see what they can do know. We have spent hours on the phone and sending emails, not to mention the last several Saturdays all day at the dealership. Also the countless weekdays we have had to run it in. 7 months of ownership and it’s been in the shop 38 days now including the time of that last 2 payments I’ve made on it. I’ve been there so much the dealership jokes about getting me a time card.
Feel free to email me with any questions concerning a possible purchase of a Ford Focus.

2016 Mustang GT no A/C!!!

I drive a 2016 Mustang GT, bought new last February 2016. With that said, I have been without my car for most of July. Twice my car has been with the dealer for A/C repair. The first time, they just recharged the A/C system and added dye to see if there was a leak. Three days later the A/C is out again and it's back in for repair. I've was informed that the problem was the evaporator coil in the dash had a leak. It's repaired now so I'm told and the A/C is cold however the defrost does not work now and there's no way to turn the air off from blowing on your feet. The air only blows through the front facing vents now as well as to the floor board, therefore your feet for both driver and passenger will either be hot or cold it seems. My wife drives a BMW and it looks like I'll have to make the switch too.

transmission on Ford focus

I bought a 2015 ford focus about 9 months ago. I love my car, but began having problems with the car jerking, grinding and vibrating on acceleration. It is still under warranty but Ford would not authorize the dealership to repair it. I spoke with a Ford representative who told me their was no recall and I would have to wait until the problem met certain tests. I don't understand how a company can refuse to repair a known issue. I have to wait until the problem gets worse. What happened to owing up to mistakes? Unknowing customers should not be punished for a manufacturer error. While they decide to hold off on repairing the problem, others like myself have suffer.

Disappointed customer

This is a passenger van, that can make many stop and idle for short or long periods of time.

The air condition will not cool at idle. I took the van to the Ford dealership, they checked the van and said there was no problem.

I returned to the dealership again with the same problem. This time they checked with the manufacturer.

The Ford manufacturer advised the dealer that this is a "characteristic" of the van.

I sent the info to Ford to their web site and have not received a response.

I have and still own other Ford vehicles and none have this problem.

Ford, this is not a characteristic, this is a defect.

Why is there no recall, or service report for this?
