I am a customer with freeway insurance . A few months ago I switched broker agents and since then everything has gone wrong leaving me confused, and apparently uninsured even though I was told I had paid the payments and was current and up to date... And my wife was rear ended today and my agent is baffled as to what could of happened. I have most contact with my representative via text messaging, and have kept record of our text messages since the beginning. Nothing she told me is making sense, and seems to be utterly wrong. Due to my preference of dealing with one person when handling any of my accounts to avoid a dropped ball or any confusion... I have asked my representative to be the one I go to, since I am uneducated in this field and wouldn't understand the intricate workings. Just tell me what to pay when type of thing.... I addressed her for anything I needed and was assured it would be handled and after returning home and opening my mail I find a letter that my insurance was cancelled. My agent informed me that I was current for the month of April.
What I need to know is, since I have proof of our conversations and her statements, what can I do to fix what she obviously dropped the ball on causing me to accrue late fees, reinstatement fees and now a lapse of coverage due to being dropped from my insurance, that now has a claim filed for a not at fault accident within that lapse.
This was not my fault and I am afraid that due to her lack of following through and blatant lies, I am going to be paying severe consequences for her false representation and apparently unreliable promises and reassurance. As this is a very serious situation with high risks, I am sure you can understand my concern in regards to what needs to be done, as well as, getting it done with the utmost expedition. I am willing to take this to any extent necessary.
