FUEL PUMP

I have purchase New 2016 Freightliner Cascadia 125SLP on August 2016 and I only put 181,4200 miles on this engine ( CUMMIN ISX ), as of 01/24/2019 I noticed that I smell a fuel and I look underneath of the engine I saw a fuel is drifting down from the Fuel Pump area but I have no idea where exact leaking coming from I call my best friend who do mobile repair coming and look at it he said the leak is coming from the head of high pressure fuel pump, I am in shock so I call local dealer to find out the problem and warranty for this particular component they told me my warranty is no longer cover it was cover up to one year or 100,000 miles only, my concerned is why this happen too early, I owned a few trucks that has CUMMIN ISX engine on it never have this issue at all other than ware and tare issue based on year and mileage but this unit seems to be felt too early, I was wonder if some one can look in to it, the estimate to fix this will be roughly $45,000 and don't know down time will it be, it is loosing situation for me, that's all I can say about this complaint.

false work

I took my truck into Delta truck centers french camp california off of I 5 , on 12/22/2018 i had three warranty issues with my truck after a week they said they finished my check engine and repaired and was starting on my split pin bushing few days later and 4 calls later they claimed they was almost done with my truck but would not honor warranty on my rear number 2 axle untill i came in and paid in full for it then they would reinburse me for the job that isn't a warranty after argueing for another week about it i get called and told they have aproval to do the work but still need to do my transmission split pin bushing wait that was supposed to have been done a week ago , nope and now two and a half weeks later they still have not finished my truck

warranty

Charged for repairs that were not performed on my truck.

I have a 2011 freightliner cascadia. Took it in to freightliner because it was losing power at times. I went to a motel the next day I called freightliner and they told me the cam shaft sensor was bad. Said the DPF FILTER needed cleaned. Also said the fuel pump was leaking oil were it bolted to the engine. Also said the compressor was leaking oil were it bolts to the engine. After 4 days in a motel they told me it was done. They charged me over $3.800. After inspecting my truck later that day I noticed that there was still oil leaking by the compressor and also I could tell the compressor was removed from the engine. Also I could tell the fuel pump was never removed from the engine and that there was never a oil leak at the fuel pump. I took my truck to another freightliner shop and they told that it was the front cover of the engine wax leaking a little oil not the compressor! It was a scam by freightliner in council bluffs Iowa just for money. I was charged for over $2700 in labor and charged for parts that were never put on my truck! I’m filing a complaint with the Missouri attorney Generals office office! I’ve sent numerous emails to freightliner in council bluffs but they will not respond back!!!! Stay away from freightliner their all thieves!!!!

Same freak"n problem

I have a 2012 freightliner cascadia 10 speed auto transmission . truck was getting stuck in gear and would not shift. Took truck to dealer for repair work in Nov. 2017, they called me at end of Dec.2017 said truck was finish and ready to go. The bill was over $12,000.went to pickup truck, It moved ONLY 3 feet and all the same codes flashed back on dash again...( also it now has a flat tire) , walked back in side ask them what the FREAK is going on with the truck it moved 3 feet and STOPED !!!!!!. l came back a day or so later they said " it was a clogged valve" and wanted to charge me $15.00... for the part. Took my truck home on Friday to clean it up for work that coming week . worked Tuesday and part of that wednesday and (5 day later) WRIGHT BACK IN SHOP FOR SAME D*#@M PROBLEM . now they say it could POSSIBLE be the transmission. That's going cost ABOUT $9000...
They don't NO and can't FIX the problem ,STAY AWAY !!!!!!! Also contacted Corp. office and now they are giving me the run around also....

i paid for ac repairs tat werent maid

i took my truck in on 1- 21-18 for ac repairs was gouted 2400 hundred for repairs and agreed to that amount i picked up my truck on wed the 24th i dident make it out of the parking and the ac guit again they put my truck at the back of the line called me on the 25th and said they needed to order more parts and the cost would be 800 and the truck would be ready on 2 -3 18 [saturday] i called on saturday at noon and was told my truck would be ready at 3pm i was their at 3 paid the bill and was told that they would bring my truck out at 3-30 i was informed that their was a problem . the ac stopped working again .i blew a fuse and told them to bring my truck out and that i was going to take it somewhere else. at 3-45 i was told that they had no one their with a cdl that could move my truck and they wouldent let me move it becouse of insurance reasons.i talked to the service manager this mournig at 8 monday feb 5th and was told that he would call me later today or tomorrow-toesday the 6th i informed him if i dident have my truck back by thursday the 8th i was going to take it somewhere els and sue them for money spent and lost . we will see disatisfied cosamer

Refuse to honor warrenty

On June 26th I had 12641.40 worth of emmissions work done in Savannah, Ga For Brother's Transportation. I left the shop next day picked up a load and all the same codes came back on. They had the truck two weeks and they had the truck from 7am until 3pm and did noting. I had to try and deliver the load and afterwards I brought it back. The shop manager said I needed to make an appointment and I did. I went to Virginia and broke down, I took the unit to Chester Excel and the unit sat for 8 days with a load before they looked at it. They said that the cost is $17,414.84 all the warrenty work which was 12,641.40 minus the water pump was damaged and it had not been 30 days. Freightliner is not honoring the warrenty. I will talk with them again before filing a lawsuit for damages and lost wages, this is very bad business and I am going to do everything in my power to expose these to shops.

Not living up to their word.

I'm a newly owner operator with a problem of repair shop caring Freightliner name. Message on the phone say that we will get you back on the road as soon as possible. But when you call,as I did. You get that run around feeling. On the 17th of June, that broke down; 18th of June, toll to nearest Freightliner dealership in Lake Charles, La.; 20th of June, diagnose was done, was told that truck will be in bay soon as possible on Monday; 24th of June, parts have arrived, was told truck will be next truck in bay, was told to call back Thursday. ; 26th of June, call back and the truck haven't made it to a bay yet.; 27th of June, call back and OTR called and received the same message, call back Monday the 30th. It seem to me that if you're that far behind no your word and your work, it might be a good ideal to work some evening or some weekend. I realize that sometime you have to be patient, but patient can go a long way when the truth is told. If you can't keep your word, don't carry the name. There are some good operator's still out there, they just trying to make a living and like me believe in the name Freightliner.

Avoid Freightliner Smart Shift Transmission!

Sold heavily by the company, the Smart Shift technology HAS NOT BEEN PERFECTED. I purchased 3 M2's in Feb. 2007 with the technology and all are having problems. What's worse, is that the electronics are so complicated the service techs can't fix them. They try to get instructions from Mercedes (maker of Smart Shift) but it appears the troubleshooting is either unclear or "over their heads". Both dealerships in Orlando and Tampa can't fix the problem.

I'm 13 days in the shop with no results on a new vehicle. Don't make the same mistake.
