I cancelled my credit card and good thing I did.. they tried to charge me another $39.95 , for what , I don't know...someone needs to stop this merchant from all their fraudulent actions...BE AWARE...

To other prospective customers, "PLEASE BEWARE! THIS IS A TOTAL FRAUD!" A FREE flashlight for completing a survey! It is NOT FREE! you'll wind up paying shipping charges and $49.95 for the cheap piece of $#@&! And then to add injury to insult, they want to add a recurring withdrawal from my account of $4.00???I hope someone puts a stop to these thieves!

Gadgets and Flashlights

This so-called company is preying on hard working individuals by issuing false advertising involving a "free" flashlight for completion of a survey. Just pay shipping we're told! Well...my account was debited $3.00, then $6.95 and now $49.95 for a cheap piece of crap.
Boy! I truly should have known better! FRAUD in no uncertain terms. I hope something can be done about them. I will stay away from surveys from now on! It seems I have no recourse, but to complain. A SCAM for sure!

Advertising Scam

I read the on-line ad (from UPS) to get this DASH CAM for free just pay shipping. I received 2 DASH CAMS, without any instructions, and like the other complaints,It is a cheap DASH CAM that can be purchased on Amazon or eBay for about $20. Then 2 weeks later my PAYPAL account was charged for $79.95 When I sent an email to complain, the customer service has not made any attempt to rectify the problem. This is FRAUD.

"Free" flashlight cost me $50 more

Like so many others, I ordered the supposedly good tactical flashlight after completing a survey and that was supposed to be the reward, but I only had to pay shipping and handling. I paid $10.02 shipping and handling and about 10 days later my bank showed a pending charge for $49.95. I looked at my email I had received from the gadgetsandflashlights.com and there was an attached agreement with my "signature" which was just my name in cursive anyone could have entered. I would never have agreed to pay $10.02 PLUS $49.95 for this flashlight. If it was explained at the time of purchase that the initial charge would be coming, it was certainly hard to see, and I am obviously not the only one who didn't see it. I will call the company to see what my options are, but if the restocking fee and return postage fee is too much, it might be better just to keep the expensive flashlight that I only ordered because I thought it was a great deal.

"Free" Flashlight Is Not FREE!

I read the on-line ad (not sure where I saw it) to get this flashlight for free just pay $4.95 shipping. I received the flashlight, without any instructions, and like the other complaints, had to put in batteries. It is a cheap flashlight that can be purchased on Amazon or eBay for under $20. Then 2 weeks later my credit card was charged for $49.95. When I sent an email to complain, the customer service (Gen) called me immediately. Apologized for the misunderstanding, but she said that it was clearly stated about the payment of $49.95. IT WAS NOT! I searched every word on the ad and did not see anything but the shipping charge. This is FRAUD.
However, after a discussion with Gen, my 2 options were to return it for a refund but had to pay some ridiculous restocking fee plus return shipping, or she would refund me $32.46 and I could keep the flashlight. The latter sounded easier, so I accepted it. I received an email shortly afterwards that the $32.46 was refunded to my credit card and I would receive it in 3-5 business days. Two weeks later when it was not credited to my card, I called back. Gen said that it was approved and refunded and there was nothing else for her to do and I should contact my bank. Then she sent me a fake looking .pdf file of the supposed credit from their system. So, I've filed a fraud claim with my credit card company and with the BBB. Hoping to see the refund show up, but if not, will remember that if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is and I'll laugh everytime I use the cheap flashlight thinking that I paid over $50 for a $10 item.

IT IS ALL TRUE

This scam came thru as an AMAZON survey. Complete the survey and receive a free flashlight, just pay the shipping cost of $4.95. 3 weeks later I got a $49.95 fee from the same company on my debit card. WTF! I went to the bank and filed a dispute. I also closed that debit card so they couldn't do it again. BTW, it was set up as a recurring charge at my bank. I called the phone number associated with the FRAUD and spoke to some low life that said I agreed to the 1 time fee if I didn't return the flashlight. The shipping fee I paid was so I could "REVIEW THE PRODUCT". Needless to say this is the degradation of our new society. These Phishers (fishers) are the reason no one can be trusted any more.

The bank has settled my dispute as follows; 4.95 (initial cost for shipping the light) + 49.95 (fraud) - 32.46 (agreed refund so I don't have to pay to ship the junk back) = $22.44 what the crappy flashlight cost me.

DON'T LET THEM GET YOU. AND I HOPE OUR POLITICIANS OR FBI OR CIA OR WHOEVER CAN STOP THEM SEES THIS AND RAIDS THEM AND PUTS THEM OUT OF BUSINESS WITH A MONSTER FINE....

FROM ME TO YOU …… FU

Advertising scam

As the previous customers, this website advertised a fraudulent promotion for a free flashlight that I can get by paying only a shipping fee of $4.95.The order was confirmed the same day by email for a total of $7.95 with an attached PDF document, hardly noticeable, that when opened mentions that they will charge the customer later $49.95. I received the flashlight and opened it and 1 week later I check my credit card has an additional $49.95 charge, I cannot return it because the package is already opened. This is a scam :
1 - this flashlight is wrongly advertised, a similar product can be purchased between $5 - $10
2 - the advertisement lures on purpose customer to place an order for a small amount, then added a hidden document to bigger additional charge later.
3 - the order cannot be returned because the customer already opens the package before they see a additional big charge.

Misrepresentation

I did not notice the pdf file with the additional charge of $49.95 and the flash light was delivered. The flash light that arrived did not match the one that was advertised. There were no operating instructions, no manufacturer nor model number. It used AAA batteries like a regular flash light and not the Ni-ion rechargeable batteries that the model advertised used. Not only that the flash light did not work. The advertisement showed that it was manufactured in the USA, but the model shown was made in China. Who knows were the junk that I received was made.

Fees not stated

Flashlight is advertised at $4.95 for shipping and when they acknowledge the order a pdf attachment states there will be a $49.95 charge in 5 days that isn't mentioned until the order receipt is received. It's just a scam and the advertisement is a fraud.

Advertising fraud

This place advertises a flashlight for $4.95 to pay for shipping charges but when they send the order confirmation there is a pdf file attached that states there is a charge of $49.95 that will come in 7 days. The advertising is a fraud and should not be allowed.
