My fridge / freezer stopped working in Aug. I paid for a extended warranty to have this issue fixed. A technician fixed this issue. Two months later the issue happened again. He removed a mouse from the compressor. He used a blow torch and patched a valve. He also applied freeon. We had parts ordered for this but the technician Took those parts with him. And he was paid under warranty claim. Now it's December and the temperate is fluctuating again in the fridge and freezer. I had a technician not from GE come to look at what the problem is. He informed us that the temperate fluctuating is from a gas leak and the technician didn't fix the gas leak. The used the blow torch to fix the valve and applied freeon. But since there is a gas leak ( this happens to all fridges 8-9 yrs old) the freeon escaped. Freeon only lasts 1-3 months. If this was a repair under extended warranty he should have fixed this issue right the first time. Now I had to pay this technician $75.00 and the issue to fix the fridge is $700+. Do not buy from this company the technicians do not do their jobs correctly.
