Dr. jason Hersh , Gentle Dental Fraud

Several months ago I developed a toothache, and the Boca Gentle Dental office determined there was an infection beneath tooth # 30. Dr. Pyner advised I would most likely need a dental implant.
The next step was on August 29th 2014 with Doctor Jason Hersh. This periodontal work included the surgical removal of the decaying roots for tooth # 30, adding a bone graft and resorbable collagen membrane. This site was closed with dissolvable sutures. The secondary purpose of this procedure is to build up the gum wall for an implant.
On Sept. 12th 2014, I was seen by Dr. Jason Hersh for a post-operative follow up. He did not mention the area had collapsed due to lack of support of the buccal tissues. He did not suggest an x-ray or CT scan. It was easy to see the gum wall had collapsed. He was wrong, and I will explain how in this letter.
On Sept. 15th 2014, I had a second opinion with Dr. John A. Lindsay. He pointed out I now have a collapsed gum wall for tooth # 30. It is now medically necessary to have a “ridge augmentation” procedure to ensure this gum wall has enough vertical support for a future dental implant.
I contend that Dr. Hersh should have noticed this problem during my previous visit with him on Sept.12th 2014. Now I will have to pay for another procedure, to correct what was not done correctly by Dr. Hersh. He should be held accountable for his work. I was deceived of the truth and feel defrauded by all of this. Dr. Hersh did not x-ray the area or suggest a CT scan to be 100% positive that everything was normal. The collapsed gum wall was clearly visible. This procedure with Dr. Hersh was intended to raise its height, but his procedure was not done correctly which I can prove.
On Sept. 30th 2014, I contacted Dr. Lindsay’s office and made an appointment for October 22nd to have this work done. The CT scan and ridge augmentation total $1,795.00 to ensure this tooth implant is done properly to add gum wall height.
Oct. 22nd 2014, I had a periodontal surgery performed by Doctor John Lindsay. This was for a “ridge augmentation” as mentioned on page 1. First he took a CT scan of tooth # 30 before surgery. Dr. Lindsay discovered there was no evidence of a bone graf or any membrane. Dr. Hersh used dissolvable sutures. My current sutures will stay in for 30 days, as this is a more prudent medical approach from Dr. Lindsay.
This physical evidence (CT scan) proves Dr. Hersh demonstrated poor medical judgment in using dissolvable sutures. The sutures dissolved and allowed the bone graf and membrane to loosen and fall out. This is why they were not seen in the CT scan. In cases similar to mine, dissolvable sutures are not recommended.
Dr. Lindsay performed the ridge augmentation on me, Oct.22nd. 2014. Dr. Lindsay extracted an old broken piece of decayed root from this surgical site, tooth # 30. Dr. Lindsay explained this old decayed piece of root should have been removed by Dr. Hersh. Dr. Lindsay mentioned this forgotten root was causing an infection in my gum. Once my procedure with Dr. Lindsay was completed, I looked into a mirror while still in the chair, and could see the noticeable difference in gum wall height. This was a successful periodontal procedure performed by a more experienced Doctor.
It is my opinion that Dr. Jason Hersh performed my procedure on Aug. 29th 2014, in a medically negligent manner. He has misled me, attempted to deceive me, and committed fraud with this patient and consumer. The techniques used by Dr. Hersh have proven to be disastrous and expense for me.
With the use of physical evidence I have concluded that Dr. Jason Hersh should be investigated, and punished for what he has put me through.

You can take action by contacting the Florida Department of Health, and file a complaint as I have.
