I thought I called the Marriot to make a reservation and the lady that I was talking to made me think she was working for the hotel. She said there were absolutely no rooms available on the day except for the very expensive room that was not where I wanted to go. After making reservation I looked at the email and saw it was not from the hotel plus wrong dates. I called back and a man answered and said there was nothing he could do. I ended up having to make another reservation with the Hilton and now am out $595.94 I was charged from Get ARoom. I feel like I was completely duped. They should not be acting like they are working for the hotel. I am wanting to get a refund.

I called to make a reservation for the Hilton hotel which I thought I was talking to and it was a company called Get ARoom. The woman lead me to believe it was the hotel. She informed me that all hotels were booked except one hotel that I found out charged me way more than going through the hotel. She also booked me on the wrong dates. Her voice was going in and out. I called back to cancel and the man I talked to said there was nothing he could do. I now am having to pay for two rooms. I do not believe this is a legitimate company and want a refund on my $595.94 charge.

The unfortunate thing is that if you are reading this you've already been had and found this because like me you googled get a room fraud. This company represents themselves as the actual hotel online and as an authorized booking agent on the phone. Called hotel directly within 20 minutes of making the reservation and they not only did not have me booked but had no idea who this company was. Further more the nights I requested were not available because they have a 4 night minimum stay policy that time of year. What tipped me off was the confirmation that had a cancellation policy which required me to cancel 12/21/2016 for a full refund. So I needed to cancel 10 months ago for a reservation I made today. Cancel after that date and they charge 105.75. I make my reservation with the actual hotel for 4 nights. It was 300 cheaper than the 3 nights this place gave me. I called get a room back and did cancel with them. I have confirmation that they are canceling less the cancellation fee. The rep said she has to put in a request to waive the cancellation fee and that will take 24 hours in the mean time I called my credit card company and filed a dispute.
