We run a small hotel in Waterville, ME. For the past few months we have found our rooms for sale on Getaroom.com. They are not a Third Party web-site that we recognize, nor are they a company that we have knowingly entered into an agreement with. We attempted to contact them via their customer service number, we were given a run around by the representative on t he phone about contacting our Marketing manager. Hard to contact someone we did not know existed until we called, and hard to discuss why your selling our Hotel rooms with out our agreement.
They are now selling rooms at our hotel for college Homecoming weekend; they are charging a really good rate, unfortunately we are sold out. And there is no one to call or e-mail to stop them from overbooking the hotel. Except the mystery marketing manager. If you are using their web-site to make a reservation, I would strongly recommend calling ahead to make sure the hotel has your reservation.
