Not refunding my money
On the 21 of April 2021, I thought I was making a reservation in a hotel in Monterrey California, but it was getaroom.com. The reservation was for May 11-14. I got sick and couldn’t travel in these dates. I wanted to change the dates but getaroom told me they could not and would keep my money. According to the terms they could keep one night, not the whole amount $1238.12. This people should not be in business. I am very upset. Please help?

double booking
From Miami airport, we booked a room at Element Hotel on 08/23 with getaroom.com via internet and my husband´s credit card was debited USD 136.93 for it.
When we got home in the Dominican Republic, my husband´s bank statement showed 2 charges for this very hotel room: USD 136.93 from CCI RES (getaroom.com) and USD 82.20 from Element Hotel.
In spite of our numerous claims, neither Element hotel nor getaroom.com have accepted to make a refund to correct this DOUBLE CHARGE. Their attitude is irresponsible and despicable ! WATCH OUT !!

tax recovery charges & service fee
I booked a hotel room directly with Hotel Indigo in Sarasota for $159.20. Several days later I receive a guest reservation confirmation from "

" with an additional charge of $ 85.98 for tax recovery & service fee.
When I called the help # 800.327.1200 you get a run-around and finally are connected to someone who is very difficult to understand and insists that the booking was made through them.
I never heard of GETAROOM and certainly did not book through them.
Unfortunately Hotel Indigo's reservation shows a booking by getaroom.
How can they invade websites and charge 3rd party fees?
This is a scam outfit and needs to be investigated, meanwhile I am stuck with an addl $ 85.98

unethical charges
I was lead to believe I was booking direct with the hotel.
Non-refundable
When I received confirmation instead of $67.56 for the night my charge from getaroom.com was $83.37.
No warning
Very deceptive.
The hotel said the room was reserved through Travel Web.
Seems this is a standard policy from getaroom.com. Not stating BEFORE you reserve the room that an extra charge would
be added for their service.
Very deceitful and unethical.
Has anyone filed a complaint with the FTC ?
