Covid-19 cancellation
Covid-19 and no refund!!!! DO NOT USE GETAROOM.COM - EVER!!!!!
I had a VERY bad experience with Getaroom. I believed I was booking with hotel directly but did not realize I had booked with Getaroom which I will never do again! Due to the Covid-19 all events were being cancelled and stay home policy was taking in effect. We than decided to cancel the reservation prior to our stay on March 13th, 2020 ! I called the Crown Plaza Hotel in Trenton, NJ (Marriott) directly and spoke with Charlene to cancel for a refund and she said that she does not have the reservations yet and that this was booked 3rd party and needed to cancel with them directly and to receive my refund. I than called getaroom.com and spoke to Manuel to cancel my reservation and he said yes it is now cancelled and an email will be sent regarding my refund. I received a email a day later indicating due to the Covid-19 they are experiencing delays to my respond and will email me as soon as they can. 2 weeks later they emailed me indicating that they discussed my situation and agreed not to process my refund at all!!! I have been trying to get back to them and demanded a call from them. When I did get a call it was a potential spam and went directly to VM and indicated on my VM that a email will follow again. I received the email which was a duplicate of the email already received that after discussing with the hotel (which never had my reservation) will not refund my money back!!!!!
I am frustrated and can not believe that I can not receive my refund during this time!!! Please do not use this service AT ALLL! It is a scam!!!
I would like my refund!!!!!! I WILL EMAIL YOU UNTIL THIS REFUND IS GIVEN BACK!!!!!!
