I got a call from 631-520-7498, which I ignored. The voicemail stated that the local police were going to pick me up within 24 hours, as there were "four serious allegations" pressed against my name. So I called back, because... yeah, right! The person on the phone said they were with the IRS and wanted me to verify my name, etc. I hung up on them, Googled the number, and came across this "Global Crossing Local Services, Inc.", which has had many complaints filed against them. I'm unsure of the next step to take, but this is some scary stuff.
