Inadequate competency by Immigration Officer
I am a One World Emerald frequent flyer and had the previlege to fly out from KLIA on 9/07/18. The check-in service at the MAS First Class check in desk was fabulous. The staff displayed much patience and professionalism on my booking and for two of my colleagues. Our transfers were to LHR via HEL via SIN and we anticipated some confusion like other One World check-ins around the world.However the staff handled it brilliantly and I would give a rating of 9.5 out of 10. On the contrast, the reception at the Fast Track Immigration clearance became bleak as the officer refused to acknowledge us as our boarding passes showed 'ECONOMY' despite showing in clear prints that we were One World Emerald. The officer ridiculed us by saying " How can you come to this counter when your pass clearly shows ECONOMY. We tried to explain our status only to be subjected to more vilification by the officer and a supervisor who turned up just looked blank too.We were immensely embarrassed as other passengers started to take notice of us . We decided to join the economy queue as we not sure what consequences we may face with this matter being escalated to challenge the immigration officer. We could only assume that these officers should be further trained on the One World Concept and improve on their inter personal skill competency.
