I had my 16 year old daughter go to have her taxes done and prior to sending to the Melrose Massachusetts H&R Block I called and was given a price of 49.95 for filing a 1040 EZ form, which I even thought was a bit high, but she was anxious to have them filed so I made the appointment. I was never at any time when I called for the price asked if my husband and I had ever had our taxes done there! She went and had them done and they charged her 117.00 at first then gave her some discount that brought it down to 93.00!!! Outrageous, when I called to see what happened I was told the only way I would have been given the 49.95 price would have been if I told them my husband and I had our taxes done there, so basically insinuating that I was lying! The long and short of it is I was told they wish they could but me, but they cant!! So 93.00 for 15 minutes worth of work I am horrified! Needless to say I will never use H&R Block ever again, this was my first time and definitely my last! Total Scam and horrible customer service!
