Emerald Card

I received a new Emerald card in Jan of 2017. I called the number and got it authorized. And was never able to use it. I transferred money to the account to make sure I had enough to make a purchase. When I tried to use the new card I was sent that had my name on it and was good until 09/19 it would not go through. The company I tried to use sent me a bill. I thought it was because it was a pre paid card And I tried many other times to use it every time it was declined. When I finally got done with my 12 and 14 hour days and tried to call at first the phone just said no such account. It took almost an hour to talk to a real person. they could not tell me why it was not working that it should because it was activated but when I called the number on the card they said that they had no card by that number in the system. after which they charged me 4.95 a month for the next 5 months. This never happened before BOFI took over. I have been using the card for years but not anymore. I called and the woman on the phone was " well it is your fault you should have called us right away. I told her it had my name and I had activated it and the date on it was 09/19 and the card should have worked. It was your fault because I was told it was activated. She said no it was your fault for not contacting us no refunds of the charges". They suck I will never use them again and I will tell everyone I know how bad they are!

Emerald Card

We were told our Emerald Card was sent out on March 3, 2017, today is Friday March 24, 2017 and still NO CARD and our refund was deposited to the account on March 22, 2017. We have been on the phone daily with customer service who refuses to just mail us a replacement card to our address on file, they keep saying to go into a HR Block branch and get a temp card yet none of the office around us offer the temp card!!! So we basically have no access at all to our money! These has to stop!

No one knows what to do!

Attempted to use the "payee" which went no where. Card was processed, funds were removed and went no where. When I called to have the entire issue rectified, I was never given the correct department to speak to. I was given inaccurate information and on top of that this was not the first time that I received the run around from H&R block card services. Never happy, never satisfied with their services.

incompetent

Called them on the first about my card being used without my permission. They did nothing. Then on the 5th I get 2 text messages back to back that my card was used. I called them told them where my card was used. Which is in another state. Even the representative said that they do not like the new bank they are which is BOFI. They are on B.S. I'm still waiting on my money. They should've done something when I called on 8/1/16.
