Sent item after I tried to cancel the order.

Early in the morning I ordered two cameras from Heartlandamerica. I made out a check and filled the order form and dropped it off at the Post Office. Later I began to do some more research and found better buys and called heartland-america to cancel the order. After a few unanswered calls (ringing 21 and 22 times) This company has no easy way to cancel an order. I became worried and contacted my bank to stop payment on the check. I then found a web site www.heartlandamerica.com and wrote them to notify them of the stop payment. A few days later the items arrived at my door step. I again called the phone number and tried the press 2 and had no answer. I tried again and let it ring 21 times without an answer. I hung up and called again but this time I used the press 1 option. I got a response but was told that they could not help me as this was the order line. After a few words I was put on to a SUPERVISOR???? who looked up my acct. and he told me that I needed to pay to return the items and now my order showed a $30.00 for a returned check. After filing multi complaints they sent me a prepaid label and I returned the items. I asked why they would send off items before they were sure they were paid for them. (I had put a stopped payment on the check) They have turned this over to TRS to retrieve the $30.00 from me which I refuse to pay. This is poor management and they need to update their order system to make it easier to cancel an order. They also need top put an answering system on their call-in phone lines. They also need to add an email address so customers can contact them when needed. This is still an on going battle over $30.00 for a returned check.
