Purchased windows and siding from a very nice rep. The work was done on time, as anticipated. I was even able to do a walk-through inspecting the final project before the workers left. It seemed to be exactly what I paid for until the windows started turning yellow because the pains were leaking. We purchased a lifetime warranty on the windows and have had them replaced twice in 5 years. We now have 5 windows that need to be replaced and we are going through the same headache of denial, lies, and avoidance because they don't want to honor their contract. They went as far as to say that the company I purchased the siding and windows is a separate NJ company that went bankrupt, but when I contacted the bank they sent over the final loan papers where Homefix had altered the documentation after we signed it, removing every mention of NJ and redirecting everything back to Maryland. Anyone else in Jersery who was dupped interested in a class action law suit against Homefix?

Bought 7 awning windows in 2006 ($700 each installed). They are holding up OK except one cracked and all of them now have loose lock levers so that you need 3 hands to open or close them (two hands to hold the handles open and one to crank). If I let a stranger open a window without instructions, I'll have another cracked window.

Tried calling Maryland with basically the same results as the others - I was told they'd research who is responsible for the NJ office and never got a call back.

I too, bought Homefix windows from the office in NJ. We paid $12,000.00. Now there is a problem between the panes. There is some sort of brown streaking as if the argon gas solidified, since the tint on the windows is disappearing.
One of the window needs repair. The lock on these windows is fantastic though. They lock automatically. I contacted the Virginia office and I was told they are not affiliated with the NJ office. They said the NJ office went out of business. They basically hung up the phone on me.

I am looking for enough people who are willing to contribute towards payment of a laweyer in the hopes we can have a class action lawsuit. Please leave your contact info and I will contact you- for those NJ folks. I want to know what is the liability of Homefix, and have the manufacturer compensate for our loss.

We had 21 windows installed by Homefix Corporation of South Orange, NJ. a few years ago. We paid about $15,000.00 for lifetime warranty windows. The windows are of terrible quality and leaks out the argon between the panes and causes orange streaks all over. We tried to contact Homefix but they closed down their offices in New Jersey. We contacted them in Maryland as well as Virginia. Initially, they sent a guy called Rick Rapp to measure the 13 windows that need replacement. However now they do not give OK to have Midsouth windows of Delaware to make these windows. Midsouth originally made these windows. It's been six months since windows were measured. Now Homefix says we are not associated with the company in NJ. Midsouth has received our order but would not make these windows till they get OK from Homefix. In the mean time, Rick Rapp would not call and talk to us. We have all the original documents and lifetime warranty papers except no one will help. What a RIPOFF. Homefix should be ashamed of itself. No one in Maryland and Virginia should give any business to Homefix.
