WARRANTY

Hi, my name is Ms Fatiah from Malaysia. I purchased Honda CRV 2.0 year last year and my registration number FB 2511. Now I have a problem with Steering Box/Rack and I can’t claim because I’m not using a standard / original ream from Honda.

For your info, I do change with new ream and do keep the original Honda ream too, because before I decide to purchase Honda CRV I do google what is the command problem with Honda CRV 2.0 and you have two problem 1. Gear Knob, 2. Steering rack/box. Even I know you have this problem I still purchase your brand because I do trust this brand.

Today, I go to the below service center to check my steering because we have sound incurred when you try to make a turn left & right once driving. When I make a booking for checking, they said want to check first and never inform me that they straight away make a conclusion that steering rack problem and need to claim warranty, but because I have already changed my ream and I can’t claim for warranty and I need to pay about RM8, 000 if I want to change it. I change same size ream and its not I upgrade or down grade the ream.

I google again, and many CRV owner claim the warranty of steering rack even they use original ream. I also member for CRV G5 Club for Malaysia and most of the member complaining about gear knob & steering rack/box problem. Now, I’m very up sad with service at Ban Lee Heng Motor Sdn Bhd and Honda Malaysia because I use high Standard Car and cost about RM150,000. It’s not cheap car like Local brand Proton or Produa. Even with Local Car you never facing gear knob & steering rack/box problem in one year and its more cheaper than Honda.

I do trust Honda brand that why I choose it for my family car. I hope have solution for this issue because to change RM8,000 is very expensive to me.
